@ Arsenal 17.22 A takeover is highly unlikely as most of us realise, but you seem to position yourself as some sort of guru on the matter...... "I have already informed everyone that nothing will happen regarding a takeover ,wait and see "....... the fact is that none of us knows what has caused this spike, it's all speculation. Everything at the moment is pure conjecture. Sometimes I think you are very astute in your opinions. At other times I feel you are rather opinionated. No offence. Basically, you are as clueless as the rest of us. And I reiterate, no offence intended.
Physical, yes, a foreign takeover would be out of the question.......that's a non-starter. But a strategic UK merger/take-over isn't out of the ball park. Though I'm not banking on that either. As I said earlier, all conjecture at the moment.
Turf, I don't believe the shareholders would agree to a £1.80 takeover. £2 - 2.50 perhaps.
Good evening all. Everything is just conjecture at the moment, but if rumours of any takeover by a "friendly" company are to be believed, it certainly won't be at anywhere near the current sp. With all that's going on in RR's pipelines, it would have to be at a massive premium in my opinion. Has certainly been worth holding on, buying the lows, and staying positive. This always was a longer hold for me, and it may be about to pay off. GLA.
FWS......certainly not tomorrow!!
Convb...."I cant imagine Russia even has any that are effective. Likely they will explode over Russian territory."
Proof indeed that your are a ****wit.
An unborn Axolotyl has a higher intellect than you I fear! I really am astounded how stupid you seem to be! Please tell us all you are "joking"!
Convb...."Nukes are so boring. Who is actually scared of a nuclear war? All sounds a bit Austin Powers.
I think most people would tolerate a nuclear war over new Covid restrictions."
I assume you are a half-wit?
CW1966.......according to the news today it's the USA who hold the largest stockpile of nukes. But tbh, who really knows? Figures are only as accurate as those knowingly owned!
I feel sorry for those who jumped on the BP oil wagon recently! I fear tomorrow will be a bloodbath! The joys of investing.
There's always more to these situations than is immediately clear. The far east of Ukraine is likely to be more Russian, and that is becoming abundantly clear. The whole situation is, frankly, a mess. Not sure NATO can hold its head up high and claim the high ground tbh. There are a lot of festering wounds there.
A while back I said it would be interesting to see what Deutsche would do in their upcoming recommendation, following Citigroup's upped raised target of 177p. I see yesterday they have remained a hold with a target of 116 still. Not exactly optimists are they?
JTT, thanks, but I'd prefer to remain "aloof and cool" (almost feline one might say!) - you and Nettles seem to be doing more than purrfectly OK without any outside help/opinion.
Ha! Far be it for me to offer advice! Nettles seems to have the Midas touch, which I don't!! As I said before, I need to get another (savvy) cat!
" I know people laugh at my £7 come Feb 2025 "............ I always thought you had a £7 target for the next close of market!! Used to make me chuckle! Or did I misread those £7 quotes??? Thought you were the eternal optimist!!
JTT.....no exit date, but an exit price above £1.60 - £1.80 would suit me fine,
JTT enjoy your moment. The stock market is a fickle beast. And even the best investors haven't had a trouble-free ride. Nettles might have a bad day/week/month/year soon. Probably wise not to gloat, eh? Your current good fortune may not be a forever thing. If it is, then congratulations!! But "pride comes before a fall" comes to mind. Good luck. I wish you and the feline well! (p.s. I like cats!)
So, GG, how you can predict what the sp will be in 2-4 years time is extraordinary! Good luck!
GG.......wishful thinking is what it is with you. Though many here would like to think you're right of course. RR.is being held in a reasonably tight band at the moment, and certainly not a share to day-trade if you ask me. As a LTH I'm quite happy to let it roll. I believe there is absolutely nothing on the horizon to scupper the RR. sp. Only positives. Time will tell. Of course, an asteroid could hit Earth , one that had eluded NASA's etc detection systems, and shares in any company could become just a pile of ash. Russia could invade Ukraine. China could win a snooker championship............the list is endless. RR. has been a good day trading share for quite a while, but I think no longer. It is stabilising, before what I think will be a massive breakout, considering all the positives regarding RR..
JTT, I really must get another cat! I wouldn't mind 20% let alone 60%!
Not sure what was wrong with b*t*hy.......
