I think most LTH on here are aware of the potential cost reductions H&W brings to the IM project, But the pent up frustration regarding the flagship project is taking its toll and the project is Flagging and the current situation as to why no decision is not forthcoming..

there is talk of 4-5 projects for Appledore in January well they are not going to come on the 31st of December, so are we going to get an update?
INFA have definitely not been silent regarding the ML so what is the situation (Update)?
FSRU gone extremely quiet since the supposed 31/07/20 deadline so what's occurring (update)?
I understand the chocolate fireguard of a communications director has gone but surely somebody at INFA has there finger on the pulse and not up their jacksie that could communicate current standings? it seems the bigger INFA get the more silent , whatever happened to shouting from the rooftops?

I thought they got a QC to look over the application to ensure it was legally ok, and was told it was, I don't think they would have contacted DAERA.

DAERA are certainly not looking like a very competent department, but I am sure if interest was placed from certain MP's it would get it moving...unfortunately most government departments are not driven by efficiency and effectiveness. IMO

Great to see Gavin reply, I am a bit confused however as we have been told that it is the ministers responsibility to make the decision and DAERA is only to form an opinion???

Stokey12, In my view INFA will have a much larger potential customer base without the EU regulations, It would be nice to have EU opportunities but the way the pound is, we are already very attractive to over seas customers, especially when you are talking Billion pound contracts. The door is about to open to the rest of the world.

Giving Scotland more contracts would increase the divide and not "LEVELLING UP" which is what was the conservative pledge.

Given the regular delays seen at the Scottish Yards and the amount of work they already have, I would think giving them more work when there are empty/struggling yards may be seen as foolhardy. IMHO

AST have been known in the past to keep things quiet (drill stuck) while investors got out, But you can be assured that if this is the case again to let HSBC exit I will personally sue the BOD and have the means and experts to do it.

I think it is a no brainer of a win for AST- They purchased a gas field to extract Gas- Slovenia allowed the purchase and the intent, Slovenia then put every obstacle in the way to stop them extracting the gas, ignored their own independent expert advice that an EIA was not needed, applied rules that were not applicable, did not follow there own guidance on permits, there own ministers publicly stating they will not allow the extraction (before informing the company). This has not only happened to AST it is still happening to lots of companies so this case could be a way of getting Slovenia to play fair and set an example. AIMHO

Hawaiifive0- I am not sure if they would state how much damages they were claiming, I thought the process was:- the company states how much they have lost and potentially lost and the court decides on the amount payable by compensation, we already know we have spent 50 mill euro and the field has a potential 250 mill euro(old figures) un tapped. so the figure will fall between 50-300mill Euro.. 100mill court case for 50 mill comp does not sound logical.

We all have seen what kicking the can down the road does, and to be fair covid is a good barometer of worse case and if we get through this we can get through anything. WTO are far more relaxed than the EU and your Airbus subs is a perfect example of how we follow the rules (Being British) and the rest of the EU do what they want.

If Boris walks away today, he will be able to give state aid to whomever he wants under whatever classification. Giving state aid before would have obviously rattled the EU into action. Interesting next few weeks to come. IMO

MajorT, In my opinion we are gearing for a perfect storm and don't think it will be a case of getting in when it starts as when it does I think it will be major. AIMHO

It really does show how close to the edge the UK is running regarding energy supply, and we are not in winter yet..
