kenj, it all depends on the deal reached (obviously) the processing plant was not built because we did not have the gas to run through it, if permits are granted and compensation given, of course they will build the processing plant because they can tap into the circa £250m of gas under their feet.

Well AST will definitely be requiring the permits, an extension and compensation, just the permits would be a game changer.
say min £20m comp that will build the processing plant and £10m spare, and for access to run the pipeline through our land, well time for some back scratching. Could be very lucrative for both sides and the key word is amicable!

It may be the case that DAERA are giving them time to raise the funds???? if they have someone on the inside, We have not been given any reason for the delay!!! coming to 8 months and they said at the consultation 4-6 months....mmmm

Agree Stokey12, their can be no other reason as the consultation is over and in order to appeal the decision they need the money in the bank to cover the legal fees, and thats a lot of bacon butties (or Oat cakes)...

3, the then minister regularly criticised the AST board on social media and the press.
4, Slovenia released information to the press before informing the company
5, They stated the land was protected (LIE)

Just food for thought, but it is not out the question that the Slovenian government could opt to purchase AST Slovenia, given they already own 25% and they are moving to expand gas production with Hungary it would make perfect sense and also be inline with their energy supply strategy. Someone posted something about Geonegro taking the wells which may have some truth in it if a buy out is the option they are going to table. AIMHO

AST only wanted the chance to extract the gas to realise the assets potential, if those permits are granted then there is no reason why we can not get back to the highs, Cuba for me is an unknown quantity but talking to friends they recon depending on the US election it could be the next boom country for mining/drilling.
