TTNY agree with the sentiment but babs yards are full so why would the contract go to them when there are southcoast and N irish yards needing work. I honestly think it is a no brainer that H&W are going to get the FSS contracts, with all the VIP's visiting them the last few months, they will undoubtedly want to put them on a pedastle. Stokey, my point is, why would the UK government want to bolster production/manufacturing in Scotland by giving them Multi billion pound contracts, when Scotland (SNP) are hell bent on leaving the UK.

agree with rizq786 apart from the figures, international court of arbitration case will cost circa £100m, if Slovenia thought they could win the case there would not be this private negotiation, so they obviously know they don't have all the cards in their favour. AST WILL compromise but it will be on their terms- I anticipate circa £20-£30M the permits to stimulate and a ten year extension, and AST would give them the assurance of tapping into the slovarian pipeline once built and employing Slovenians once again improving the local economy.

While I am at it, would it help Scotland's efforts to be independent of England if they gained big contracts to help self sufficiency and would it be in the governments best interest of keeping the united kingdom united to do so?

Castello75, It may have been going on years but AST only just started legal action (JULY) on the fundamental issue of a level playing field and honouring the bilateral agreement and energy charter treaty.

Jimprice- the asset value of £200m was when gas was half the current price. + being able to build the processing plant will increase the value further, it is all down the road but LTH may yet get a Positive return even +£1 IMHO

Gas set for record highs as predictions for very cold winters, also price now is nearly double from when we closed- Slovenia import 90% of their gas so bodes well if permits are released as we already have the permit for the processing plant so would be able to tap straight into the pipeline....

You never accept the first offer as there is always more, I presume they are finalising the deal, but we will see.

Well the only thing that will get me going is an RNS and I suspect too many PI's have been duped enough before to jump just yet. I would settle for the permits a ten year extension and £30m.
