They have not been dry docked so why sea trials?? seems to me they have just been docked as nothing of the work done has been posted anywhere.

Stokey12- we will get revenue for building the caverns + project management and cash back for the outlay thus far (circa £15m).IMHO

Licences for both the abstraction of seawater and discharge of solution mining brine were issued by Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) on 14th November 2014. Both of these consents will be reviewed in 2020.

November 2014 by the NIEA, Lawyers were to mitigate any timewasting and to show our intent I Believe.

Both will be reviewed by DAERA but we are still taking sea water out and putting it back, only using a far better control system than when it was granted in 2014. IMHO

abstraction and discharge has already been granted, only ML is required in order to start work.

Stokey12, Agree with your comments, but we should have an idea of intent next Tuesday.

I can't help but think that all funding/Contracts/Permits are on hold until at least next Tuesday and the single market bill conclusion, The EU Club are putting a strangle hold on the UK, any state funding (currently) would be scrutinised by the EU Club, regardless of the handouts to Lufthansa and Airbus the EU have given. This I believe is one of the main reasons for buying Appledore.

Sea-Miles, in relation to your last post- why do you think they purchased Appledore? there is always a backdoor and the way the Euro is escalating they will be in trouble very soon IMHO.

If I were a gambling man I would bet that a government contract of circa £50m will land before year end (Calendar).

Good story, but it will be interesting to see the price of gas when Asia-Brazil-North America-Africa switch to gas to fuel their energy demands, It still remains the case UK need security of supply IMHO

Looks like Stena Scotia is being moved out of the building dock (Tug in there).

Regarding Navy contracts, they have already got a taste of the constant delays Babcooks have delivered with their contracts, So if I were the UK Gov I would definitely try someone else and also stick to UK Built. One thing for sure once this starts moving we will need a red cape to control the Bulls.
