Agreed, I thought this the other day when I took my 2 and 4 year olds to a toy shop, spent an hour looking at things before they decided on what they wanted to spend their Xmas money from Granny on.

Don't get me wrong, I buy most of my things on line but there is definitely a place still for the high street in some form, the good ones elvove and provide a hybrid experience i.e. in store collection . The bad ones will die as we've witnessed.

We have been there before though not so long ago and promptly went back down to 2.3 on one badly worded RNS.

Agreed, all the research I did appeared to indicate this has longer term potential even if it doesn't get acquired.

For anyone that hasn't, I recommend you read through all the RNS and planning applications all available on the EUA website. Will reassure you of why you invested.

Been on here since the early rise from around 1.7p in October, rarely comment but I'm wondering if she will get back to 4p again today.

Hopefully we won't see another fall back to the mid 2's that we saw following the bad RNS.

I think that's what they need at this stage to show they are taking this seriously and they've learnt their lesson.

The thing I like most about this is she has some very good experience at the top 4, she would have seriously looked at Metro and run a mile if it was too high risk, no doubt a nice pay check helps manage the risk somewhat.

Shows they are serious about internal audit and correcting the mistakes from earlier in the year

Agree with the sentiment here, I've been pondering this aswell.

As much as I like the notion of holding onto stocks for a long time, whats the point if you can just come back in 6 months times when things start to improve and put your money to use elsewhere. With the Algos you stand no chance and less you have additional info. Saying that, if it was that easy I guess we would all be rich.

I'm using the next few months to learn more and not trade anything new unless a very compelling opp or two comes up, it's too easy to chase rainbows and end up with a bigger loss like a have with Metro and you end up in a constant spiral like our friend dogger.

Good tactic, I should maybe also consider that one instead of holding out for the little bit more (never usually comes)

Looks like Metro is on the way back up slowly, I reckon it will finish the day slightly up (probably wrong), if Reaper turns up it's a given.

Fully agree, the level of analytics combined with data lakes for storages make this very easy.

Agree with your sentiment on the big banks, having worked with all of them on various IT projects including ATMs, I'm fully aware of the amount cost cutting and sweating of assets they are trying to do to reduce cost.

Walked past my local metro today and it was nice and busy with a good age range in branch, definitely still a market for this in my view.

My wife recently lost her been card, took NatWest a while to get a new one, told her that if she was with Metro she could have to it a new one the same day.
