Just been reading comments on Placeera and this from Waldorfastoria describes the beast I'm struggling with, optimism, I've done it so many times before.....but we have survived when we could have gone under long ago.
"Many seem to be of the opinion that it is better to buy for less than 8 öre after the issue. But if you want the company to progress, you should participate. It should be a worse deal to pay 7 öre if the company fails with the issue than to pay 8 öre and the issue succeeds."
He's as naive as I am! Lol.
TheFarEnd...What do you want me to say....for someone who doesn't follow this board you're here rather a lot. Are you very glad you were right, are you so very amused by it all , are you a few inches taller that we're so diminished.
Eric...lol. Meant to reply earlier but I got interrupted. The appointment looks good, but it doesn't alter the fact that our long loyalty to this company through thick and through thin has been ruthlessly played; it had all the appearances of a deliberate crash. Surely something a bit better could have been made than this derisory offer and I hate these A & B shares, I don't understand them. I do understand reality, this is it and it's a lot less than we deserve. War paint? Actually, I've been trying to rub it off but it's like rubbing spots off a leopard. Have you noticed Pocko is talking to me again...I've have made some progress. :-) Afty x
Keep talking Sj...the appointment has a good feel to it and with Mayflower's comfortable words...there's still a lot to do before the mine is up and running, I'm beginning to believe again. TheFarEnd...get your teeth into that...while you're here commenting on a share you don't follow. And we're not back at the beginning in terms of things accomplished, we're half way there.
Yes, we are because the alternative would have been to shut up shop...and we were formally given permission to proceed with ongoing work which is applying for the EIA on the presumption, naturally, that the Government's decision will be found to be safe, and of course at our own risk.
I imagine I know the answer to one question put today and that is where are H2G and LKAB to bail us out when we need them...well, nobody who's anybody could bail us out publicly until the Court's decision is delivered, could they?
We've been in the situation of waiting and waiting for the award and the appeal which has brought us to this point and we've survived...but recent events as outlined, huge salaries and the pay off to Kurt has broken our trust. Just looking at this from the website...I was looking for a notice of directors shareholdings, saw it recently but can't see it now. This is something to meditate on:
"Clearly, corporate governance alone will not make an investment attractive if the business model itself is not convincing. But all other things being positive, particularly the business acumen and experience of the Management team, investor attention will turn to the calibre, expertise and integrity of the Non-Executive Directors, and therefore their ability to oversee, challenge and advise the Management in order both to drive value creation and to protect the interests of shareholders at all times."
Not much to say is there, just thought I'd put my head above the parapet and see what people's thoughts are. I'm wishing I'd sold the lot at 2p. Bowie needed to come up with something a bit better than...this is critical for the company and these permits are expensive. Don't we know it!
