Good idea Pocko...I've already done that, bought a few more at 2.12p but it only made a difference for a few days, what with all this negative talk..but as I've said as repeatedly as you've said echo chamber, the appeal pending will depress this until we get some good news from somewhere else. Opinion.

Evening Eric...Well, even though the Appeal is against the Government's decision, it is against Beowulf in reality. And reality is what we're up against at the moment....which will change one way or another eventually. I will continue optimistic because that's on balance what I truly feel.

Evening Geraint. I just don't agree with you about that..it's complicated politics. Jan-Ola Larsson and Fred Bowman were both Swedes from Norbotten...Clive was a finance man from South Africa and he did a good job so far as he was able, how was he to know the extent of ethnic politics in northern Sweden. Now we're waiting for the result of the Appeal, or rather the sp is waiting for it...the work in getting the Environmental Permit so far as we know is on going, but it would all be a complete waste of time if the Supreme Court were to overturn the Government's decision. Then we'd have to look to Finland and Kosovo to salvage something...that we've survived this far is a little miracle.

The Sami Appeal would be a major news event, can't think of anything that could be more major than that.

Talking about Grangesberg, I believe it's an old mine being opened up again, which is a bit of a different situation to us and also remember on the positive side that we got the first exploitation licence awarded in 12 years...so not that bad management then.

Eric...you couldn't possibly have believed I was satisfied with the sp, could you...but as you say twas ever thus and we've been through it all before...except that we could now truly be on the way to something good. Who knows where who knows when...did somebody sing that once?

And of course satisfied that Ulla is doing what she has said she's doing...making the Environmental Application... at a pace. ;-)

The current sp reflects the fact that we are gambling on the outcome of the Sami Appeal....if the Supreme Court overturns the Government's decision to award the Exploitation Licence then we are finished in Sweden and the only chance of recovering anything would be from Finland or Kosovo. Kurt said he would keep us informed but clearly there wasn't anything he could tell us about it...all we know is we think it will be heard around September and that from Andy. And the Sami are appealing against the Government's decision not directly against Beowulf. It's never a short process, is it, like all public enquiries, people have forgotten what they're about by the time a decision is made. Until then it's work in progress and I'm satisfied with it.
