Of permitting mines in Sweden is currently under close scrutiny...it isn't only BEM who can't get a permit, no permit has been issued for over ten years. LKAB and Boliden are also complaining, among others.. as we all know.
The 3rd OECD Meeting of Mining Regions and Cities begins today......more talk talk but influential talk talk.
Is a good question Pocko. But shareholder value has increased threefold since Kurt took over and the sp has stood up to the recent two placings. I'm willing to see if 'prioritising' can deliver before the end of Summer, this Summer.
A statement from a government minister that it is being prioritised should be something in which we can have some confidence, surely. Prioritised is a big word.
You can't say something is being prepared and prioritised and then do nothing about it. The company has had a meeting with the government recently and that is in itself some progress. The thing that keeps me feeling confident'ish is that they could have said No ages ago without all this preamble; so what's it all about?
It's was on the Agenda once upon a time under a caption of that sort; so could it be dealt with under Any Other Business as something on-going from a previous Agenda. Just saying like. ;-)
Eric. If the Swedes in government thought "so what"...the Riksdag doesn't, the recent debate concluded that something must be done fast and there was an overwhelming support for it, including from the Government who pleaded that they already had the matter in hand. We have had timescales upon timescales to no effect and I don't care if we never have wait for a phoney timescale ever again. We need action and pressure and I think it is happening now As for three more weeks, June is summer by anyone's yardstick. Just saying. :-)
