Will be an opportunity for Kurt to make waves. Despite what Ibjj says, about another talking shop, the OECD are influential, the conference is a shop window and the government has to be mindful about that sort of talk. Can you say we need more mines, produce a timetable that plans to have more than double the present number by 2030 and then show the world that you haven't given a BK for more than ten years. At the recent Riksdag debate the government speaker said....we have most of this in hand already. Where will the new mines come from?

The Swedes are putting the blame, fairly where it belongs, on the government. We have been told (sort of) that this is being prepared and prioritised and we have no alternative but to accept that. If it isn't delivered by the summer break, which will be an undertaking broken for the third year running....then something else has to be done but I don't have any illusions about it, maybe the SveMin will help us.

Well, Ibjj, you're definitely wrong about that. Not counting all the failed deadlines we were given by the Mining Inspector and to be fair they came out in favour of the application, twice; Michael Damberg stated that the decision would be made before the summer break. They first received the application from the Bergesstaten in the summer of 15 so it must have been the summer of 16....the NK debacle has muddied the waters of time. We believed...because he was the Minister responsible but no reason has ever been given for this failure, not a word. And we've been quiet waiting for the Election and the new government....alas to no avail we are now were we were, ignored

The Swedes seem to be unaffected by the bad signals we've picked up this week so hopefully we could be wrong, just suffering from the effects of past experience. The OECD International Mining Conference will be held in Sweden this year for the first time, that could be embarrassing for the government, that the largest known, unbroken iron mine in Europe has been given the cold shoulder for six years because the company that holds the exploration licence is British. What other reason could there be...please tell us, we're all ears.

I haven't written off my investment and I've been very gratified to see three quarters of it come back in the last 12 months. If I was bright I would grab it and go but it's only money after all...adventure is something else.

Now if we go back a long, long time, which we can....Lofven said in 2014 that Kallak would be decided according to the law not politics. The Riksdag have just debated this and their conclusion was the same as ours...the permitting system is not what is says on the tin. Kristina Benson (LKAB) and Klas Nilsson (Boliden) both say so and the University of Luleo says so. And Robert Bernhardsson, Nickolas Nordstrom, The Inlandesbanan Management, etc. etc. have all got as good a reason for wanting this permit delivered as we have. Is it the EU election that has held it up....will the summer break for the third year running be another reason

Having said that which is a response to your sarcasm, we did invest in Sweden and we had good reason to feel invited by their Mineral Strategy which seemed to be reasonably straightforward at the time, that does sting a bit. Because I don't agree with you about the CEO it doesn't follow that I am apathetic.

The Bergsstaten who are a government department have supported our application twice in so far as they can...and why they can't decide it themselves has recently been a matter of debate in the Riksdagen. It's the complicated balancing act that remains a mystery, the untangling of which is now being demanded from many quarters. We all have a choice here to be in or out and people who decide to be in shouldn't have to put up with personal abuse from people who have decided to be out....should they, and neither should the management.
