My second cousin who worked on the counter at Boots the chemist has just phoned back. She’s spoken to a few former colleagues and none of them have heard of any potential bids either, but they too may of course be subject to confidentiality agreements. If I hear something I’ll stick it on the board. As regulars would say DYOR.
I’ve just spoken to my second cousin who used to work on the counter at Boots the chemist. Of course she may be bound by strict confidentiality agreements but she said she’d never heard of Reneuron or potential bids. What was more disappointing; she’d never heard of our two kings. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
Purp, Welcome back - how was the honeymoon LOL. But to be fair to his highness, posting a question, which states OXB has just signed a contract for £825 m, when Rene hasn’t a product, and then ponders why OXB are different, is predictably going to get an interesting (and accurate) response from Purp.
So without tempting fate and ruining early signs of summer, kings Purp and Freddie, must be on holiday (of course they could be the same person - alter egos have thrown up stranger bed fellows). So for at least a week Olav has slept easy, MMs have had to drum up their own trades and downward trajectories have remained unexplained and unchallenged. Oh may it continue albeit I’ve ruined it with this post. A wonderful silence enjoyed since the magnificent Bishop Michael Curry said something about love. Oh, ... perhaps kings Purp and Freddie are on honeymoon! In any event a celebration or a wake will be in order in 18 months time; officiated of course by a Chicago cleric, accompanied by tonal cello strings.
So those who’ve read Strang on the iii site will realise he’s even more pessimistic than Purps; suggesting a possible low of 25p, which means close to zero. I appreciate many regulars quote cash in the bank, which may have value in liquidation but is clearly discounted by the market and some amusingly even quote grants, which may have value in a university science lab but is fiscally worthless. Many even quote Reneuron’s institutional investors but they’ve historically written off much more. So the question which seems unanswerable is what happens next? With a small amount of retail shares, which understandably are now going to be held to the bitter end there’s unlikely to be much volume movement. So when we get to rock bottom and when we run out of cash in 12-18 months time what happens? Will we be forced to de-list, will the big investors make a rock bottom fire purchase of outstanding retail shares? If they went to the market at what price and what price (not so) to small investors. What ever you think of Purps rhetoric I’ve yet to hear any sensible argument that gets small shareholders past the chasm that’s approaching or rebuffs his argument. Yes Reneuron may be good science, yes the novel treatments may ultimately work but we are years off a viable product. If you want to respond to Purps legitimate baiting many would benefit if this board did so in a way which wasn’t talking about nonsensical topping up or the childlike blaming of Olav! Salty. I’ll leave you to it!
So Purps, I have a bone to pick with you! When I was talking to you in the mirror this morning you never said you’d tell the board you were loaded. They’ll spot you’re off shore next - thanks for spilling the tea without telling me first. BTW I may be late for breakfast in the morning so if you can keep the marmalade cool. Salty.
So Purps, as a Millenial Russian Bot you may not be too sick with F and the Dreamers 60’s hits but perhaps you could ask Sam, particularly as he now resides near the Mersey, what he thinks our new company anthem should be: 1. I’m telling you now, I’m telling you right away, i’m staying for many a day, i’m In love with you now - or 2. If you’ve gotta make a fool of somebody, if you gotta make a fool of someone.... Perhaps we could get a grant to create a recording studio? Thanks for spilling the tea.
So Purps, Everton’s loss is shorters gain. Good point. I’m so (I appreciate this should be at the start of the sentence) with you - Sam’s the man! I understand from those in the know, and I put you in that category, he’s more a orange marmalade man.
Unfortunately Purps, some are stuck at Stage 1 of the Kubler-Ross curve; oscillating in any 24 hour period between denial, “I’m topping up” and anger, usually relating to Mr Olav although if it wasn’t him it would be someone else. I think this behaviour is going to go on for a while longer. Sadly Ms Kubler-Ross died a while ago otherwise she may have been interested in the data. BTW just dropped below 69p - congrats on your prediction. May be worth putting a time period on 40 and please advise the board when to short as we approach zero - that’s the way to make real money!
Purp, in this run up to Easter I think it’s too late for some to give up ramping for Lent; it’s also fanciful of you to expect apologies for past wrongdoings so may I humbly suggest you set up and lead a, “Rene Truth and Reconciliation Commission”. A Commission, which would forgive some’s version of astrology, forgive those who only wish to blame, forgive those who choose to ignore the fact that high risk and high reward investments by their very nature carry high risks. There would be no better nor a more magnanimous leader of this Commission than you Purp.
Paraphrasing and extending your memorable, insightful and post-Kant like Philadelphian quotes, “Why do you wanna ramp?” - “ Cause I can’t sing or dance!”. And perhaps tellingly for devotees to the shrine of Reneuron, “the world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows - winning is done by moving forward, but you’ve got to be willing to take the hit!” See you after Easter Purp but stay clear of Barabas.
Purp, you appear to have more time on your hands; as we approach Easter I fear the possibility of tomes getting even longer so please recognise an ageing but loyal followership who would welcome the addition of a synopsis. And assuming you’ve not been filtered out after you’ve exhausted Leviticus perhaps you could even switch to the brevity of an odd metaphor or two? The possibilities would enliven your creative juices, simplify the challenge to those who dare to ramp, and save the batteries of devices that are ever searching for the nirvana of a successful Phase 111 trial and the news of the demise of an odd director or two!
Well said Purp - let’s hope other boards reflect on your comments - I’d hate to see regular readers of those losing their shirt on the basis of nonsense. But that’s for them! Time for me to drop out and await 69p!
Whilst it seems a bit perverse to congratulate someone on an accurate prediction of a semi collapse - well done Perp! To make it a little harder next time perhaps you could give a date and time (+\~ 5 seconds) for 81p. Thanks also for playing a part in slowing down the amount of hyperbole which was a regular feature of this board.
The astrologers amongst us will have a much better handle on this than me but is this the start of the beginning;. The day when Purp’s outrageous prediction of a £1 is shown to be .... A prediction that flew in the face of all received logic, a prediction that outraged and conflicted with everything cited on this board, a prediction that gave credence to the lack of Executive investment, a prediction that made rampers draw breath. Is this a prediction too far I ask myself, is it a prediction that will come back to haunt him, a prediction that will finally bite him on the posterior and give him his just deserrs . Personally I’m not sure!
Unencumbered by other responsibilities, senior citizens who've never really grown up explore their world. They spend their days speculating about their fellow townsfolk and thinking up adventures. If this show of the not too distant past reminds us of anything perhaps Olav could present prizes for nominations for the best reprise of Foggy, Compo and Clegg, sorry and of course Nora Batty. On the other hand Fawlty Towers ....
Been known to play both! So won’t argue on the relative merits
What’s interesting on all the boards Purp, including immupharma , is that posters seem to cut and stick the same messages! There is a cycle of elation and depression, on almost a daily or weekly basis. I would imagine immu is presently on a high with their placement. The unfortunate thing with ramping, including from regular correspondents here, is the possibility that some poor soul will lose their shirt on the basis of ill informed hyperbole. Whilst some (many LOL) take offence at your rhetoric it’s the only check and balance on the board. I think I’ll now back away for several months and get ready for tomorrow’s match!
Hi Purp - My post was tongue in cheek but I totally agree with your length of development cycle and that it’s where it should be although you do leave out probability of success, which whilst it gets better as a novel therapy goes forward there is always a risk of failure at anyone of the phases. That’s why those who know better stay away, which is a point our friend and much derided Scandinavian has repeatedly made. As you suggest this is very much a marmalade tomorrow share although as someone more famous than me once said, “tomorrow” never comes!” I hope it does though because I’m looking forward to Twickenham.
I know you’ll be an expert on this Purp, do you think there’s a case for Fraudulent Misrepresentation or is it caveat emptor? Thankfully ‘topping up’ and ‘averaging down’ has fallen from the board’s daily recommendation of choice!
