Those pessimistic despite mr ali johns late reported purchases on friday should short...follow the institutional shorters rather than institutional investors. Easy money?

Who knows more (Fidelity associated, 10.88% owner of wood)) Mr Ali John M, who bought 7m shares last week to bring his company's holding to 3.2% of company or us with only publicly available (hence, by nature, outdated) information?

I should add, todays ft article alluded to prevalence of 'orientalism' amongst wood board in relation to Sidaras last offer 6 months ago.

Seems to me the management accounting side of the business (eg cost and revenue calcs of projects) has been a basket case for a number of years. The corporate management seem to have been ostrich like, despite having their a***s repeatedly kicked. Seems the eleventh hour for timely change.

The 3 late reported Form 8.3 On Friday timed 6.22, 6.21, 6.19 all from M Partners/Ali John Mirshekari took their holding to 3.21%. John Mirshekari (as has been pointed out) is an ex senior fund manager of Fidelity who own 10.88% of company. Adding two and two together and making 5, I assume John Mirshekari has much more insider information than us. As far as I can see Mirshekari purchases have really only been the significant ones since offer landed. Perhaps we will get more notification. Seems as if something viable is impending.

The sells may yet to be reported...I dont know the legal requirements. Must admit I was shocked when I discovered August /September 2024 transaction were reported on 18th/19th Feb. 2025....

I talked about ownership concentration, John Mirshekari recent purchases have brought him into the tope tend. I assume that he bought means he know he will a) gain and/or b) not be left out of top table. I am just mistrusting of corporates.

M partners/John Mirshekari just about make it in the top 10. They are the ones that bought 7 million shares in the last few days. I imagine some plan has already been laid.

Island the top 5 shareholders own about 27% of the company (and that does not include m partners, with their link to Fidelity) top 10 own about 50% of the company. So ownership concentration is sufficient for the 5/7/10 to co-ordinate, and shaft everybody else...scary

I also read somewhere (and it may have been false news) that institutions held 90-95% of the company. Are the rest possibly under notifiable thresholds? Have they been selling?

Where are the expected reported sells? Have I missed something?

19th Feb Schroders report increase in shares by 160,000. Date of transaction SEPTEMBER 2024

19th Feb Barclays report Below minimum threshold, situation after transaction 0 but 5.12 of voting rights mostly transferred to Portfolio swap. Date of notifiable transaction 17th Feb. 2025

20th Feb Morgan securities reduce voting rights by just under 0.8% from 5.6%. Date of action 18th Feb 2025

21st Feb Barclays PLC go below minimum threshold from 5.12% on % voting rights on Financial instruments. But Barclays Capital securities takes holding in SWAPS Date of action 18th Feb 2025.

Possibly, but other than Mr. Mirshekari who added 7 million shares, others added/sold insignificant amounts when they made their post 25th Feb 8.3 mandatory filings. I have not gone back to the 14th Feb, when the trading update was published. Would be an interesting exercise....in fact there are not many entrise. I will post the info between 14-24th Feb, shouldn't take long.
