Yes not much difference, assuming you take out complications, false positives, false negatives etc. Also we assume there are no other applications. Finally I wonder why Medicaid and BUPA have approved it if not cost effective. No answers, I am only a small late investor/ bottom feeder who like the technology. Any comments/infor would be good for informing and evaluating the risk/reward profile of OBD. I I may start-
Pros a)has a verifiably proven and applied technology (in use test) b) application, with high efficacy for prostrate cancer c) recent study by large pharma (with a large sample size) show valuable diagnostic/prognostic efficacy for other cancers. d) has reputable, blue chip and cross continent partners e) seems well networked across blue chip companies and world class scientific centers.
Cons a) Already high sunk costs but nascent adoption b) Overheads of staff, building and general infratructure related to testing unable to be covered by sales c) appears will need funding unless can develop joint ventures . d) susceptible to cheap IP takeover
