I don't think Beer is a consumable in that it needs to be consumed within a few days. I am sure the wholesalers will have plenty in stock even before the pandemic? I.e. If you made £2k on Centamin why not take out £1k and invest in a riskier asset and say the other £1k in another in a different sector completely, leaving the rest still in? Afterall you have paid the buying costs already? When I say riskier you could still keep to the FTSE 350. That is what fund Managers do they hedge against (say) the Gold miners to allow them to go into more riskier assets? Your call. I find all shares (apart from one or two i.e. Thomas Cook, Ferranti being exemptions-showing my age now) are cyclical but as has been said sometimes we have to be patient. However you do seem to do well and are not greedy which is another lesson I learnt when waiting too long in the past for that bigger profit and ending up with less in the end. Good luck.

Or someone like Marstons the largest Brewer in the Uk and all up for supplying all of the Supermarkets for their home deliveries over a hot Easter weekend with the largest Uk collection of beers? Lets face it when I worked in the city when people were feeling down or had just been made redundant what did they do? Drown their sorrows in beer!! Maybe that is the cure for the virus? Who knows? House builders look cheap too there will always be a housing shortage in the Uk? Capita do a lot of work for the NHS they will be earning more at this difficult time. ITV look good because most people are cashing in their Sky and BT sports and therefore the channels such as ITV will get more advertising revenue where Companies will redirect their exposure to catch an audience. With what Capita do they are a vast and massive organisation and they are strategically very important to the Govt in a normal environment but today with the viral epidemic they are even more important. One of my mates used to work there in a very senior capacity and I can say there is absolutely no way Capita will fail, as they have too much going for them and what's more the govt will not let them fail. They must be getting a lot more income at this time.

Yes I'm into lots of cheapies at the moment time to buy for the longer term (even if we have a short step back) the future once we clear the trees is very good. I bought more Glencore, Capita, Marstons, Taylor Wimpey, ITV, Premier, Tullow, William hill, Lloyds, RBS, Cairn energy, BT, RBos, Stobart, i bought some for myself and some for my wife. I am lucky as I was waiting with some cahs but when a mate said soon the large fund managers were going to start selling up bonds to go into cheap equities I thought I better act now. So I have been busy all day.

I am sure this virus thing will pass as quick as it has arrived, but before it is gone this share will probably be back at least a third and then two thirds before the main sport seasons returns. In the meantime I can see home demand increasing as those getting bored spin the roulette wheel!!

Not surprised the shorts are reducing whilst they have a chance to get out at a low number as if a deal is done and the Oil prices rise this share will take off let's be honest. There must be large fund managers out there just waiting to pounce and grab a bargain!!

At this low price I see this as a bargain price as I see the betting online Companies doing well with the working at home. It is not all about football I am sure many use the Roulette wheel, etc.

As we all take in the discounts from Sky and Bt no sports.com many will revisit ITV I must admit my misses loves their soaps, and even the Govt. has said use your Soaps. I see the audience figures and advertising figures picking up here to be honest at the expense of Sky and Bt sport. This share in my opinion in three months will most like be back over £1 I am sure. However Glencore have a formidable reputation in the commodities markets form Coal. Rare earths, oil, you name it they are in it, they are not a one trick pony. I am glad you have found them too.

The price of this share is only starting to turn and yet the income must be increasing for extra earnings from the Govt. contracts, recruitment and managing and sourcing emergency offices to placement for govt. depts. This Company has so many strings to its bow it is not all about NHS appointments, Army recruitment, Police and Teachers increases on money earned to their pensions either. This is a Company with many diverse projects at any one time-in my opinion strong buy at these silly prices.

The sell off have been overdone on this "largest brewer in the Uk for some time. Now the hot weather is here the beer can sales will increase I do not see too much of an impact going forwards as I hear beer sales for home deliveries have been increasing. After all most people when down will drown their sorrows with a pint or two!! At these low level prices a strong buy for me!!

Also with the reports of BJ in hospital it looks as if Sterling has turned volatile. Whilst I quite like him and wish him well I can see the precious metals will rise particularly in sterling which will help this share gain another strong rise.
Comex gold futures is now at USD1733 (for when I last looked June delivery.) 1.32am. 7/4/20.

They were due to restart at the end of this week but I have a feeling the price of Silver and Gold will have more of an effect that them starting again to produce physical as any orders are being taken for June delivery on the Comex futures. I have seen since poor old Boris news broke out this evening the pound have turned volatile and the precious metals for GBP have continued to rise quite significantly and so we should get off to a very good start in the morning I would imagine.

i.e. Looks like in the early hours the pound has turned volatile and for the safe havens of Gold and Silver this will be a positive effect to our shares in the morning I am sure.
If the precious metals rise as they are rated in USD and if GBP falls our income will be positively impacted by a falling pound.
However on a personal side I wish Boris well as I actually like the maverick in him which makes politics interesting for a change so we do not want to lose him.

I am not sure we can rate a share over one day, but I see this share as a good long termer. I remember Warren B one saying that for him a short term share is one that he holds for two years. I can only project my view that this share is a safer bet than most probably 95% of others. All shares are cyclical. I have larger holdings still in precious metals than any other sector as I do not feel the World is out of the woods yet. However if the recovery in Prec.metals continues overnight we should rise most probably at the expense of a lot of other shares (with Oils leading the way down) due to the rising Gold/Silver prices the whole precious metals sector should on probability rise in line, not on production but future income.

China have up until pre-virus been the largest buyer of Gold from memory followed by the likes of India strangely (due to the developing middle classes) and Russia are there or thereabouts. So we will have to see overnight what happens for when we open in the morning. However Gold is back and could be starting a run many such as Goldman Sachs have been forecasting for some time up to higher levels.

i.e. Spot Gold is Usd1662.94 but Comex futures is still rising now USD1711.10.

I have been rattling about the Comex futures based in NY having a Gold shortage they only have USD2M wirth in NY vaults but need from memory 49m for June delivery. Reports all on Bloomberg Friday. The shortage is real and true. prices are just reflecting this as China sharts up its Industrial machine and the Country comes out of lock down.
