Think about it if we can do a deal with a larger Continental owned Company such as Carlsberg that is hardly going to harm our relationship with Europe - post Brexit. To be honest you have to our Senior Management great credit for this idea too, as they are not going to take our Country's situation lying down and will survive in an even stronger position.
I am pretty sure the CMA will see this too. A surviving expanding Marstons is a lot better than one that will struggle.

I will keep watching the Corporate web site for official releases as requested. There is absolutely no sensitivity in that apart from the fact the Company itself see no reason to panic and send out messages when not required under LSE rules. For those brave enough like me another great buying opportunity short term for a longer term investment.

Glad to see most managed and organised places will be excluded such as places of work, where sensible distancing can be maintained. The testing has shown one thing and that is the virus has increased particularly in the 20 to 30 age group who it appears have not been taking this virus seriously enough. They can also deal with the virus it appears fairly easily and that might explain why the death rate has decreased down to single figures despite the number of people with it increasing.

I will repeat what I have been told "keep watching the official company website for the next announcement" they do appear to me to be very relaxed and there is absolutely no panic here, if there was they would have already made one.
As the reply I had was relaxed so should you all be - no panic here. If anything untoward happened then they would be under a duty to notify shareholders as well and so the fact there is no urgent need again relaxes me. Barchild perhaps if you do not believe me or if you want an angle for yourself you need to contact Marstons in person like I did. I have nothing further to add for the time being other than what I have been told and what my own personal opinion is.

I will be honest and Marstons do not see any problem at all here and the impression I have is that they do not actually need to panic which leaves me with a very confident relaxed feeling myself. The market reaction yesterday also appeared to follow my sentiment.

Also looking at at my Gold/silver mining charts comparing year on year the spot sale price of Silver is now up (can you believe) 49.10% on last year - great news -and like you have said Sotolo the costs appear lets be honest well contained comparing year on year and what has actually occurred worldwide with the lock down.

Darren P -I only do this as a hobby as when Berkshire decided my time had been served I decided to retire early and to look after my two disabled parents. However I do enjoy my hobby. My feeling for me personally is to keep things simple. ETF's can become quite complicated when looking into all of the aspects affecting them, but essentially they in my own opinion are an alternative to equities which I prefer to invest in and monitor. Bonds prices are low and likely to remain so for some time, it is therefore no surprise that the ETF's have increased the buy on precious metals but I would prefer to take the rise from the Miners rather than the hard stuff - if you follow my simply view. Sometimes simple working works better.

Yes indeed I remember possibly 10 years ago when I retired from one of Warren Buffets Companies in London I was trading this share from memory in the £5-£6 level. The recent Gold miner tie up also helps but nonetheless they and Fres are probably the biggest Silver miners in the World. With low rates and Govts trying to run inflation and bring employment levels back up the precious metals market will be buoyant for some time yet and I can see Silver going up from here.

Hoc declares Mr Eduardo Hochschild owning 50% of his Company and the investment vehicle he uses is Pelham Investment Corp who is out down as 49%. He owns the largest majority of the shares in the Company 258,565,373 -shares, so I suspect any other Director could only do so with his permission - which might not be Politically correct? He is very experienced with mining and so this Company is certainly not going to fail.

It is all down to running costs - like running an old Jag? The fact is the contracts winning side have done well in that they continually keep winning new contracts and particularly large ones from the govt. I also see a lot more coming Capitas way and with Brexit there is opportunity.
In short Capita are too useful to the UK Govt and they will not be allowed to fail If anything the Govt could start buying in themselves. Either way at most have said at this silly low price (which does not even cover their goodwill) someone else such as a venture capitalist will see this as a buy.

NYSE being dragged down - also USA job nos tomorrow - may not be coming back fast enough will encourage the Fed to do more to speed things up? Perhaps the Silver/Gold price will recover yet?

Also USA Job nos tomorrow may well help as based on trends they are not finding enough and the Fed may have to do more stimuli which will help Gold.

As I said the other day one thing any potential activist wants before lodging a full take over bid is a streamlined workforce which is exactly what Capita have recently announced. Who are they kidding in denial. I also don't seem to remember one Company that CVC or any other Capital venturist has approached actually admitting of an approach. So this is all expected speak when in the course of a general business takeover by possibly not one but possibly a number of suitors. Watch this space as this price like so many other great british comps, (like Marstons and BT) all are regretfully ripe for approaches at the prices they are at.

Just received a direct release from Capita denying a bid from CVC mentioned by name - however I note that Hargreaves mentioned what I saw as perhaps more than one party was interested. Certainly they are ripe for a number of opportunists to come in here.
I also saw an article this morning that a serum may be ready from 1st November so the market will get a hike based on that which will help us here anyway.
