I understand we are working hard to bring about the Carlsberg deal so expect results to come out slightly later than we usually do.

Not surprised with Town pubs and City pubs where people are working from home. Afterall who wants to go into a town centre. However I see home Beer sales increasing, especially with sales of the winter warmers and selection beers Marstons group now are producing for a quiet Christmas at home.

Hedgeweek.com reports the largest shareholder RWC and Schroders have "actively" worked together with a Lincoln Capital sale, etc and so are well connected. I see a takeover a foot? Not surprising at the current share price I suppose. Worth holding onto and topping up if one can be quick when further announcements follow, which is looking more than likely. GLA.

Never seen so many fund mangers in one place - this could become a bidding war. Or maybe one of two of the others could join forces for a takeover and change of Management too if they have no confidence. Some on here take life far too seriously. I love the reaction to comments on here it is good sport. However the sales and customer confidence increase for Marston is genuine. Keep the positivity going as it saves me taking my Rocket ship to Mars!! Even Elon Mr Chancellor is talking about a cheaper Tesla in the 25k range so we can all have one if you cut VAT on beers!! I saw yesterday a new Marstons Pub opening in Gloucester - hardly any comparison at all and certainly not a company in any trouble here - still expanding - still increasing sales! As I said before this trader is first out the taxi - and last one in the pub. The whole point of Boris's statement closing pubs at 10.pm after 5 solid hrs of drinking was to stop the SHORTS - think about it. For which he has my sympathy. In fact if he had let the pubs continue any longer my Tesla would have discharged - I will have to ask Uncle Ralph if he can have charging points installed so I can have my Tesla milk float charged up as my 5 friends enjoy their drinks i the limited (5 hrs) of time available. Yet Shepherds Neame still complain. Well serve the customers quicker is the answer. Maybe in kent they spend too much time in the garden of England? Never mind.

I have a simple life and this is a hobby which happens to pay for the new disability buggy, etc. (Tesla) usually every April. Also keep the Range Rover Overfinch (the only car the buggy will fit in) topped up with fuel - which should please unfairtrader who is heavily invested in Oil, where the whole world and his dog would prefer a Tesla like I have, ha.ha.

When Ralph Findley reports that Marstons have seen renewed customer confidence no one needs to research very far to know that means better business and increased sales.
It is a shame also that the so called shorters on here cannot read what is in front of them.
I said we were a rocket on the launch pad waiting for take off yesterday and we are under ignition. Still time shorters to buy back in before it is too late and you are not left in a black hole.

SS-You might find the 3M being marked as UC (uncrossed trade) i.e. when the brokers/dealers settle up to balance the books at the end of the day? However I would not be surprised if we have some fun and games going forward with some many actors at play for new licenses as explained earlier. Abx must be favourites to come in with a bid to show themselves (perhaps just before the new licences are awarded?). They might then they feel raise their profile? Hopefully the Egyptian Govt. will look at this that they are better dealing with the devil that they know than one that they do not?

It certainly gives me a comfort factor when looking at the other largest share holders (most pension fund managers) as they have seen this share as being one fit enough for some quite large funds being invested.

Chaps don't give yourselves any credit I am interested and certainly it would not bother me that a French transaction in Paris for an internal Fund transfer took place for indirect voting rights for the percentages stated on the fund (no doubt a pension withdrawal?) where the stated LSE fund held for Dimensional in Marstons is / was insignificant and actually shown as prior to :-

As I was more interested in Ralph Findley saying he had seen renewed customer confidence returning mentioned in a local news statement after being interviewed in response to Boris latest idea of early bed at 10.00pm.

MRobs- We may need to listen to Boris on the tv tonight at 8.00pm. as he is keeping pubs open until 10.pm but does that apply to Motels and Hotels where room service can be a consideration?
Otherwise after 10.00pm you might need to get the misses to get some home supplies in from your local supermarket. However I hear many working from home enjoy a can or two whilst working through lunch!!

2rein - Don't rule out increased retail sales (i.e In addition to the pubs opening). Carlsberg when making the offer for Marstons merger on brewing will have conducted their own due diligence to have made the offer in the first place.
If you put "probably the best lager in the world with probably the best bitter awards winner in the world" (following the four World wins for their Hobgoblin beers) this is a winning combination and will increase sales. I went to school with a mate whose father imported premium German lager and they were at one time a very small producer but once they won some World Beer awards their onw sale multiplied four fold. We were 73p when the deal was first announced I see us hitting that fast once confirmed. Fingers crossed Beer mats ready and waiting.

We know Centamin are quite fair with distribution of profits in all fairness, however I am still awaiting for my minority interest payment from the Barrick Gold (Acacia mining takeover) so ABX we know are very business like but I await to see how honourable with previous promises made to Acacia shareholders. My fear however as ABX have taken over both Randgold and Acacia is they will make a bid for us too and cover all option. They must be cash rich at the moment with the price of Gold and have tremendous clout and so if they do not win the new licenses competition we may become their own target if we do. They could therefore cover all options?

As I say the market sees this share as a strong buy. Sooner or later the four shorters on here will have to buy back in but to be honest the amounts they hold are minimal or unrecorded from earlier conversations to have little effect.

The market can sense and feel an announcement coming very soon. Get your brokers phone numbers ready shorters this shares is on the launcher ready. 73p in two months and £1 for the Christmas festive period! -Happy days. In fact apart from about four shorters on this board the rest of the market appears to support this share.

Both after the uncrossing trade £2m each? perhaps the rumours about someone stalking CPI and true? The whole market fell today so do not panic Captain Mainwaring!! We are not doomed!!
