Looks like a Hochs community works bus was in a serious road accident taking workers from Work to Home or vice versa and some have been killed, some seriously injured - not very nice at all. My thoughts go out to the Workers families and the Firm.

Good points chaps I will add we will recover as we always do. Most shares including Hoch are cyclical. Once the analysts work out even after yesterdays falls in commodity prices (they are still way up on last year Silver still 49% up!) and with production improved too the results due soon we will push this share price up quite significantly. Who knows perhaps now we are on the US Best Comps index of 11,000? We will start attracting the US buyers such as the reddit boys who must see this as a great opportunity and under valued share. Interesting release that one today!?

The Feds comments relate to unguaranteed events that could take place over the next 2 years with a suggestion of two rate increases. Well they will be most likely 0.25% each?
I see the precious metals market recovering possibly starting this afternoon. Demand for Silver and Gold once World Demand picks up will keep prices high as lets face it even with todays Silver slight fall the price of Silver is up 56% on the yr. I see no panic here and a good opportunity. The tide will turn very quickly it always does!

Tjay -John, it does not take long to conduct some home research in Hoch. However if the main commodity price for it is up 60% on the year, and the production report last received said the outlook looked good the only reason in my eyes for a fall has been day traders becoming impatient. Sometimes a share takes longer than a day or two to provide real benefits. I have been buying/Selling Hoch for 10 years and done very well. They have been mining for over 100! They are in effect privately owned by Mr Hoch and his investment trust and his family have run the Comp for over 100 yrs. No problem to me being invested here and my wife is too. Generally once she starts moving it could be a fast move, but as ever if in doubt spread your risks over many shares. i.e. I usually cover most of the Ftse miners on falls. For instance my Centamin did well today.

Mr Castello it is felt will struggle to get any big changes through the Senate that is not ruled by his party.
In any case I cannot see any big changes before our half year results due in two months and what with the Silver price alone being up 60% on last year and without any production hold ups we should be then in a very good position.
I am sure Castello will be tied up like our govt. is with dealing with vaccine roll out and he will need International assistance with this and so I cannot see him attacking foreign Companies such as Hoch registered on the LSE, and who has interests in neighbouring Countries to Peru, as well as Partnerships in North America. This is not a one trick pony!

Hi FK - Yes I agree Hochschild will be fine under Castello leadership. Mr Hoch is also a very powerful and wealthy man with influence and I cannot see the Senate going against the miners.
I am just wondering at what price do I buy some more!! Looks a great investment at this price with results coming in the next two months!

Weddings do not have limited nos -something that RF wanted to come back - well it has.
The weather has been very hot here in the South -helping home beer sales.
The UK Govt. has said that they expect us to come out in July -just one month away.
Many of the Marston's pubs are now open in any case.
More people will now stay in the Uk and so the Uk customer base during the holiday season will be strong Uk home sales. Stronger than previous years where large nos go abroad.
The situation here is far better than last year and the Company is getting stronger that it was. A great opportunity for the next month as if the lockdown is released in July this share will rise.

I heard someone mention on the BBC news yesterday that actually Peru is the most democratic Country in South America, and I also read that they have a Senate that controls most of the govt. changes and the interesting thing is the majority of that Senate is not loyal to Mr Castillo. So the report said even though there has been a change in the Leader there has not been in the decision makers as the Senate can over rule any proposed changes if they even exist. So the sale of Hochschild if based on pure Politics is over done in my opinion. We should soon have some good production and sales figures coming I have certainly not sold any of my Hoc shares and do not intend to do so. In fact if we continue to drift I will buy some more and see this as a great opportunity.

Lots to like here and a good time to buy on todays number. The FD is going to Fullers Smith and Turner - so expect Dominoes featuring on their menu's soon, ha.ha. It is true many expect this share to keep rising no its euro problems are sold off.

Well if as half Penny says the President changes more than once every year maybe with a 50/50 share they could have six months each? Sounds like we have solved the problem. I must say if like Brexit so far I have not seen anything change except I feel we got our vaccines a lot quicker without having to report to the EU first. Happy days!

Latest news I can find is that Castillo's lead is reduced to just 50.20% of the votes cast with 99.795% counted which is almost a draw? I wonder where this leaves us? Surely we need another vote? Certainly one cannot see outright sweeping changes across the board with such a close run thing-interesting!

Agree Poker and have a feeling as the results start to come out for the precious metals miners the prices by then will have climbed quite a bit. They do seasonally anyway if one dares to look at the 3 year charts.
However the USA have said they need to start making computer chips at home and I understand Silver/Gold is used extensively in the Industry due to both metals high conductivity. So we have many reasons to be in here for Hoc the other advantage is the venture into rare earths and the US have said they want to buy more especially from outside of China so Hoc does have one or two other things going for it compared to other miners. Hochschild are a Company that has been run by the same Family (The Hochschild Family) for over 100 years so they have been all through this before and are very experienced with the "at home politics" I am sure. I have no fears for the Company Mr Hochschild as I understand it has many other interests in Peru as well as Argentina and so he will have some power behind him. From the previous annual reports he also looks like he provides support and looks after his workers -so his own problems may not be as bad as everyone is making out.

Seems to be helping sales both outside and at home! God is on our side!! Perhaps Boris will be soon too. I would rather be over here than somewhere abroad, at least if you do not like where you are staying you can easily go home. or move on to another venue that is better. Marstons have tremendous choice!

Results too close to call suggest another election in three months time! Just after the August financials from Hoc which should be very good when considering for the year Silver is up 52.73% on last year and production has not been interrupted as last years. I feel we need to look forward and not back! The Stock market works on anticipation and I see results being a pleasant surprise! By the way Silver and Gold now moving up again today no doubt in line with growing inflation forecasts!

Us News reported that the lead has narrowed and that there are 300,000 votes going to a Judicial review. This review will take a few days so I am not so sure all is done here yet?

Remember Pelham Investment Corp own 49.99% of which Mr Hochschild is still the majority shareholder and he is sitting on a lot of cash! He could easily take this back into private hands if he wanted to. There is now a this FTSE listed Comp is going to be nationalized by the Peruvian govt. This sale is over done. As many have said on here nothing is going to change overnight and before what we should be looking towards which will be on commodity prices a very fine set of results!

Yes good opportunity to come in here. After all with just 0.50% between them and with the foreign postal votes coming in that BBC news said could favour Keiko Fujimori no one is yet clear, perhaps there could even be another vote as it is so close? This may take some time to come to a clear conclusion. Do they have a hung parliament? or shared power agreement? Interesting!
