From the releases today if Acacia are innocent they now need to protect their position.

I can see Arbitration more than likely and it will bring the whole situation to a conclusion.

I would rather now see this in an International Court of Arbitration than a local one.

Just looked up the official LSE stock market prices for Aca and not all the trades are being shown in this site. Therefore a significant number of trades are being traded that are not being shown hereon. In my own search I only found One trade for 1 share of late. All the other trades were of a lot greater value. Hope this helps. Certainly a repeating trade of 1500 has been put through. .

Do staff get a discount on buying Gold if they are a shareholder? Do traders get a commission on a total number of trades put through? Or a discount from their broker for putting so many trades through? Or a cheap staff shareholder scheme? Or is someone trying to bring down the average price per trade? Or the best one have the shorters been caught short?

Just announced on Bloomberg of a Barley Crop shortage in East Anglia and Barley prices are likely to put up the price of beer in the United States by over 35% -Happy days for Marstons if they have already produced this years supply.

No wonder we started to move up today. I think I will look forward to tomorrow have have a Banks's or Pedigree to celebrate.

This is the Uk's biggest brewer now. The fact the Management do not broadcast this is interesting as they continue to down play their results by always mentioning the pubs and hotels first. However this Company was formed and is a Brewer. If they said in their results first that Beer sales are up 45% what would happen to the share price? Look at what happened to Green King shares when they did the same? Their shares rocketed.
I feel one has to carefully read their accounts and there is more of interest here than what first catches the eye.

I see that there has been a late Announcement regarding Deutsche Bank who have bought in to Marstons with a 5% Stake. I see they thought the results were good and the original market reaction was not in line with the results.

At this price I feel this share offers considerable opportunity.

With rising interest rates premium income will rise. Also with claims should come rising premium rates To be honest Beazley have been a player for a long time and will know this, as well as if they can purchase their own reinsurance at a cheaper rate their own losses will be less. They may even benefit from the recent Storms!! .

BB-You are correct in that what with the commodity prices now starting to gain momentum long term we should do very well here.

I am lucky because I did also buy some CEY the other day, I also hold HOC, Glencore and others to spread. However I have lost today on Oil with Premier, Tullow and Cairn-so its all about swings and roundabouts.
I also hold Marstons and cannot understand why the Chairman and CEO cannot dictate more positively and contain costs when clearly with beer sales up 45% as a result of the World Cup why they do no mentioned that first!!. .

See this as a great buy especially as in the Hurricane Season it seems as if one Hurricane ends and another one starts to gather pace. I'm holding on to my umbrella.

The statement said 19 months of negotiation well excuse me but obviously Barrick have been concentrating on their own nest egg and this small nest is only a very small part of their current empire. So why not start the proceedings and lets get this thing out of the way.
Also we will find out if anyone is interested in Acacia what with the Gold price going up and the share price going down. All very strange. Maybe we should merge with CEY?

I am going to stick and can see if the employee is found to be dishonest and Acacia is in anyway responsible for him they will have Fidelity Insurance for the dishonesty of its employees. Likewise they will have Directors and Officers Insurances for their key staff. (I am afraid all Companies could have individuals tempted).
The most interesting thing for me was the statement at the end where it looks as if Acacia have protected the interests of the Company for the Barrick negotiations by taking the necessary steps for Arbitration against the GOT should the talks break down with Barick - lets hope the talks can be concluded soon..

Can also see our far Eastern friends using Gold as a Hedge what with the safe Dollar now not so safe! Also with suggestions of a Brexit Breakthrough Sterling is likely to rise again in the last year quarter of the year -which will also help Gold.

Therefore appears that GOLD FINGER could have his eye on one extra nugget in Aca especially as his new CEO is as you say BB an ex-director of Acacia.

Appears lot of talk is on the net about a potential take over. Also from a historical search Barclays have upped their guidance on this stock to over weight from July?

I have always suspected KD may come back with Ashanti for a takeover as they have a smelter in Tanzania.

I suppose if someone has been stalking them they need to get a price offer in now as the price has been coming back quite significantly in the past month. So if they do not do it soon it will be too late.

Possibly truth in it?

Could be good for Glencore this one, as from memory they have a deal for oil supply from Libya and have certain controls in place for Distribution..

P- Am sure this will be back to £2 soon. This share was £6 to£7 two or three years ago and most are cyclical. I bought some at various entry points some starting at far higher than your buy point, but have some that will soon start bearing fruit.

I get fed up of the doom mongers saying the G.O.T deal has to be done. The frame work is agreed and done between Barrick and the GOT. For the deal to be signed by Acacia we know as reported Barrick are working on the needs as discussed within the confidential talks, which include more Chinese investment, a percentage share of the Company and of the mines profit. I can see from the recent reports from JT he is not far away from a presentation to Acacia for formal approval. We also know in turn the GOT is looking to provide an amnesty on exports bans in general. I have a feeling this final deal signature will be sooner rather than later. In the mean time lets focus on the Company now providing cash income, and that it difficult circumstances it is even increasing Gold ore output on the previous projections-Something at the moment "Centamin" can only dream off.

Agree BB why not be positive and give the Management a chance -to be honest results far better than expected and in the circumstances. Imagine how much can be produced/sold once the deal is agreed. The G.o.t and its people will also benefit on increased sales and production- so lets do it.
The way this share has been climbing we must be back the FTSE 350 soon, surely. The share will then also benefit form fund manager using the index, particularly for new Companies entering!! Keep it positive in my book,
