Found a headline today on a google search that Barrick move closer with G.O.T with a deal proposal for them of a 50/50 Split of proceeds, but it was too early to know what Acacia would say to it for their share?

So it seems discussions are heating up and lets hope we can all find conclusion very soon -sounds promising.

Hi Wise, yes I agree with you and see this as another win, win. i.e. Apart from the needs for Acacia/Barrick to act. If the staff have taken/stolen by fraud/ deception or other means & for as much in value as the GOT have said this means we will be very rich as a Company. I saw 20 billion mentioned -well in that case Insurers will have to pay up and the profits (including Insurance proceeds) will be greatly enhanced. Also as you say it will give a close and less loss of face if the G.O.T think this action was the cause of their loss.

Covered Acacia and referred to the fact they like Acacia saw the situation in Tanzania as being of concern and the best course of action being negotiation. The talks were ongoing. However Acacia do operate as a separate Company and they need to refer a solution proposal to the Acacia Directors for approval.

It did sound to me that this was now moving up the agenda as important as I have not seen the wording being so carefully thought through before..

I note that on 23/10 -B/Rock moved around their share holding as they did last time the shorter's increased their % and this led to a market release showing a decrease in voting rights and an increase in their financial instruments/loans? Perhaps they are the firm loaning out to MW?

No panic here despite the fall today. I see the volumes are very low on the 90 day average. It just shows how the price can be changed on very low volumes and let us believe that on good news this thing will fly.

There must be lots going on behind the scenes and so we should get the tide turning very soon.

I spoke with Acacia yesterday and they feel the Govt actions are only as a result of the non conclusion of talks made with Barrick. They have therefore started to try and talk directly with the Govt on this issue to see what they can do to address the situation. They therefore stand by their press release and the words within it.

BB are Barrick the largest shareholder - I did not feel they are insiders?

Why can't they continue to increase their stock holding and notify the market of that?

Expect some have taken profits but also expect our friends on the other side of the pond to show a interest later. Also I wouldn't discount Barrick starting to build up their stake further on the falls, as this makes sense on their intention to take over. I'm certainly holding and might top up later depending on the Political climate in Tanzania and/or further releases.
I also expect Aca to be more alert and switched on with releases, to retake control, and act to protect their staff as well as their own senior Management positions. It is clear that now Barrick have their own agenda/ intentions and must by now know the true value of the resources which this Company Manages.

One web I visit "share magazine" had the price accelerating through £1.675 after close at 6.28 pm - so it looks as if there is something in it.
No sure the Acacia Management in London will be happy -I suppose that's the end result of giving up control? It may also explain why KD and others left .
Could be an interesting open tomorrow as I agree Bloomberg are usually very accurate.

In this uncertain World we see today Silver and Gold prices starting to rise as the World seeks the safe havens.

Thank God for the Govt it has made the Acacia Management finally get out of bed.

I see talk of re-gaining possession of talks 9/10th of the law.

Talk of Int.Arbitratrion and fighting talk - rather than making charitable donations which do not appear to have helped at all -no offence intended just plain fact. 100% Concentration needs to centre on sorting this out now.

I would now like to see them to open up the mining explorations dept. to implementing starting production in the other African Countries so as to broaden the income and spread the risk.

At least we now see signs of developments and something going to happen. This whole business led by Barrick has taken too long and they lost their focus with their attentions elsewhere. Where would you rather travel to a Head office in Jersey or one elsewhere? Now lets gets this thing sorted asap.

I have been reading of renewed interest from one or two Govts. going back to use Gold for a/c balancing and supporting their currencies, etc. .

The last Gold Qtr account also showed renewed interest in futures contracts and many have said the future looks one for a stronger demand.

Certainly Barrick will have to wake up from their Honeymoon with Rangold and help sort this mess. They have not helped with the delayed presentation and final sign off. I was always told to never leave a meeting until everyone has signed off on what promises have been made and to agree to a time frame for conclusion. The time frame has been thrown away and we still have no conclusion. No wonder the G.O.T have started moving forward their position. Lets now see the so called framework signed off -or lets bin it and lets go to International Arbitration, if that is what is required. The failure to act now will be seen as a weakness and so we need something to happen fast. I also feel this could well help conclude and to be honest it now needs to be within a strict time frame.
