I expect HOC to rise today as Silver is up so far nearly 4%, to be honest I am surprised we are not up in line, the 1.33% share price increase still leaves a margin for some fresh investment in here.

Miners up too, and Centamin is now one of the highest gainers today. Fingers crossed this will continue.

Lets hope today we get off to another good start most miners up today 230919.

I see we are up approx 2.86% in afternoon trade. The pound is also down against the CAD which helps us further here. The good news continues for those who stayed for the Barrick takeover.

Yes chaps I will keep us advised as I intend to keep monitoring where we have gone i.e. into ABX , Hargreaves give a live price on the NYSE when they are open so it would be good to report back here.
You never know if the Chinese come in they may even repurchase the Acacia name? They are good at copying the theme and then developing it later, so it is alleged?

Yes Stobart a good long termer but I sold my holding last week after taking a 25% profit. If they go down a bit more I will buy them back, otherwise I am watching the Gulf situation and if there are more strikes (which I suspect there will be) then I might put some more in the Oils market). What worries me is the precision with what and where they hit, someone had some pretty decent kit there and knowledge of how to program and fire without detection. They will do this again I am sure.

Now up 6% on first day of new trading for us- good choice and well done for those willing to see it all through. I also saw on the ABX site that ABX have issued at statement their Gold production is at the top of estimates and we now continue into the third qtr.

Acacia mining is now suspended on the FTSE as the takeover rules have been met by Barrick who are taking them off and into "ABX" on the Canadian and NYSE.
This might lead to some future interest from Fund Managers who would otherwise have invested in Acacia, the underlying investment will help us here. I see CEY as Acacia's natural replacement on the FTSE for this sector.

HI Chaps thanks one and all for your help and contributions over the past few years. I hope this board can stay up but we may disappear overnight, and so we will no doubt meet up again on one of the other boards. I will miss coming on here almost daily, and even though I do contribute on others this has always been my favourite. All the best for the future and if this board disappears overnight all the best for the future from the Supercharger.

I didn't realize we also get in addition to the exploration divi, all the unpaid divis too. Nice one -makes this share worth its wait in wait for it, wait for it, ....GOLD!!!!!! ha,ha.

I have just gone over to an international account now with my Bank /Stockbroker and so I will be able to trade International shares including Barrick. I will also enjoy using my cash account for other currencies than sterling as I can also deal with them too. Something that might become invaluable if sterling takes a hit, post Brexit. We can't get it right all the time BB's I am down today on Centamin, as well as Aca, but when the Fed speaks we will come back. Luckily I sold some of my Stobarts to pay a few bills for a couple of months. ATB

This is a very sound Company with no debt, no hedge requirements and with the price of Gold as it is still a great investment.
Many are jumping back into the Banks at the moment and if they want to do this it is up to them. However be aware if many do lose their jobs "post Brexit" I will not want to be in banks.
Do not believe we will not be approached either Acacia mining were involved in a court dispute with their own govt. in Tanzania and this did not stop Barrick taking them over. NB. The cheaper we are the more attractive we become for the big fish. Randgold and Acacia have both now gone from the FOOTSE and this I see as the Acacia natural successor.

My message is those that trade this share want it to go down and will be negative, whilst they move into the Banks Upt to them. However those that own this share might even be topping up. The only reason I see for this share going down is better news for trade talks. Sterling has also been rising against the Dollar and so in real terms our earnings are less. However this short lived news, I see no panic here at all. So don't be persuaded by the day traders to sell as this is want. This is a very soon Company here with no debt and still making profits (even more at the moment with higher Gold prices.

It also appears to me that Centamin have interests in the west of Africa where Acacia share exploration rights such as Burkina Faso , and so no doubt Barrick are speaking with them. Lets see how events play out?

Once the Fed cuts, and if the trade deal with the USA and China breaks down this share will recover very quickly, the Gold price is starting to rise again already today. Other miners are also falling so it is not all about Centamin.
There is also the possibility as the big miners are fighting out who is to be the largest that Centamin at this rates could be approached for a buy out. So watch this space.
