is unbelievable. Val is conning you. Over a twelve year period I lost good friends on here thru prostrate cancer (the main reason guys bought shares here: hoping Val would find a 'cure'. Oh, the times they were so near to it or so they said. Any one on here who encourages you to keep buying shares are only doing it for one reason: to gain from your naivety and the desperate faith that Val will miraculously find a cure for prostrate cancer. This company never had the money to do it properly in the first place; they couldn't afford the high expertise or the staff lab numbers.
But their PR was good, very good, in the beginning - I'll give them that.
Hi, Nige
Just so glad I'm out of the mire. There is so much kidology on this bb. Putting sloppy work right on this scale costs mega bucks, and could take years as more 'faults' materialize. No one knows what the final cost will be. And how deeply it will dent the company's 'fundamentals'. Look at the financial state Lloyds is currently in after paying out years and years of compensation, and you can bet your bottom dollar who will pay for it: the same people who were swindled in the first place. You can look at this thru rose-tinted glasses all you like and convince yourself it all will end well and soon. And I wish I could believe that. But my gut tells me different. And you know how well I respect my gut. Almost as much as you do your graphs. lol
PROFESSIONAL RAMPERS. I've witnessed their skulduggery a few times over the years. Smooth tongued vipers who regenerate 'confidence', seduce the share in to going up and then sell and vamoose with a nice pot... then turn up in the future with a different handle and do it all over again. This company is all but buried so only the very stupid will hang in here now and only the very, VERY stupid will buy shares in it. The bods of this incompetent company continued to give themselves pay rises as it diluted. Trouble is you can't be jailed for incompetence and stupidly. A great pity.
Yours
Still Bitter & Twisted.
'TakingMyTime'. What I said in my former post is current news. And more 'bad' stuff is surfacing daily. Peeps are waiting up to six months for repairs and this work is not always done successfully. Repair dates are cancelled too. End of the day shoddy work was signed off, and it looks like this is a continuing trend. Take your time to research this and not take as gospel every word the bod tells you. In my opinion, there is only one thing you can do with a rotten apple... This has been going on for 5 years or more and there doesn't seem an end in sight. How in the hell did a company I once bought and sold shares in come to this? Plug one hole and another springs up elsewhere. And one other thing, who votes themselves a pay rise when their company is floundering?
This company has been in a state of disgrace for years due to a continuity of 'bad construction practice' and dismal PR aftercare. This was all highlighted yesterday on a radio 4 broadcast, which told of thousands of Persimmon homeowners still living a frustrated nightmare. Added to poor workmanship, damp and mould is now running amuck in persimmon homes. Metal in lift shafts has gone rusty... One poor frustrated buyer who bought at the top end is now on daily anti-depressants, so frustrated is he by the fobbing off and unfulfilled promises he has had to endure over the years to put things right. An instance... cracked concrete was left in situ and just skimmed over with a thin coat of plaster - no investigation into the cause of the cracks.
Yet investors/punters here seem to disregard all of this and are too happy to prop up this disgraced company for 'easy profit'. Yes, as you can guess, my money is no longer in here.
Amazes me that peeps are still buying this share. It's been diluted into virtually nothing over the years. The BOD will be shutting shop and moving on to some other 'enterprise', I expect - for after all, they have to earn a lucrative living... that will afford them regular salary increases... Like most people, I bought into this company for all the right reasons; but looking back over the years, I can clearly see it was for all the 'wrong reasons'. Ah, well, unlike the Val bod, I will lick my wounds in preparation of moving on... Since investing here over ten years ago my 22k input is now worth... literally pennies. Wouldn't surprise me if they have monkeys in their lab conducting the tests...
Yours, Sour and bitter.
Autobits. Without a bona fide crystal ball or a proper gut feeling... then I think it virtually impossible for anyone to 'predict these things'; if anyone could 'predict' share movement, then everyone would be as rich as me. lol; sentiment is the most fickle of mistresses. She took this up now she could very well take it down.
Just sold my big barrel of fat mackerel at top dollar this morning. Gut feeling prompted it. It may go higher, it may settle lower. Don't care, got my money's worth at the market. One way of looking at it: there's a heluva lot more fish swimming about in the sea now! Happy angling everyone. (Remember: buy as it goes down - works for me).Time to ring the skipper now I think and tell him to swipe the decks...
Morning to you too, Conno. You sound bright and cheery on this election day that could either take us one big giant step towards a new destiny that no British man or woman has hitherto taken ... (A drum roll, followed by a combined English, Scots, Welsh, Nr Ireland choir belting out 'Land of Hope and Glory' and then the Spice girls following with 'Done it, got it') …or a big stupid back step into the political mire...
I've been with all the builders over the years, and I mean all of them, even Galliford Try. But one by one came out of them all with a small profit and bunged the whole bag of dosh into Bdev. looking back over by books and the stats it reads like I did the right thing. Don't know how much of it was down to luck or brilliant investment strategy - probably the former!
autobits… you need to learn to catch the fishy - cos he who hesitates pulls up empty net. Don't worry. You're top heavy with sprats that will grow into mackerels. So don't go throwing any tiddlers back in or you'll come to regret it.
