Were as two of my other ex div shares have gone down today, bdev has climbed. This stock is in a little bubble of its own. Mind you, I've been told it is in the top 5 of the ftse 100 shares that merits sustained attention from investors. She has changed my financial life and got me out of a few pickles (with bad investments ) over the last 15 years. I'm now in the process of having a Barratt flag designed for the island. (I have been advised to knock a "T" off Barratt for copyright purpose - I wouldn't like them to sue me and take all their money back! lol.
The way things are looking - and what my crystal ball is telling me - soon be time to start thinking about another floor to the Barratt hotel...
So get that other sail up Captain Jacob to catch this cross wind and save on diesel.
You slyly trying to put newbies off bdev, builderboy? To try'n get'em to put their hard earned cash on T.W (where you got your biggest holding stashed)? lol.
Now, will just check... if I will make more dosh holding till divi day, or cashing in just before. The SP doesn't always drop back hard after ex divi day. Mostly does, but not always , and sometimes just a bit, before it quickly recovers - and on the whole bdev doesn't stay in coronary arrest for too long. DYOR. (haven't said that for a while!) GLA - or that either!
Might it surge past 780p in a short while? Don't think |I need to look much in my crystal ball!
Right, Captain Jacob. Builders are doing fine, satisfied with their work, so let's hit the high seas again!
Got a big lot stashed in here again, buying as it went down. Could sell now and make a tidy bit... BUT. NO. In for the long haul - which I don't think will be that long - and a substantial profit; so have pre-set a sell price for... 780p. And, of course, will pick up the div on the way.
Right, Captain, steer a course for that wee Greek Island I bought last year... to see how the builders are getting on... Still haven't thought of a name for it - could call it Barratt Island, I suppose, as they paid for it!
NO Aim no Gain, you seem to have a sizable portfolio of shares and are in to silver and gold and 'campaign' for both quite a bit - but I suppose all that helps with your 'depression'. What's it like now living across the pond, with Biden at the helm? Did you buy your flat here as a holiday home?
Mark Twain said: "Prediction is difficult - particularly when it involves the future."
'My prediction is that overall house prices will end up lower at the end of this coming year than they are now. There won't be a crash; just a subdued market, held back by the realisation that relative to incomes they are, in much of the country, simply too high. On a long view they will be supported by a rising population and demand for more living space. But short-term, expect a pause - which in social terms would be no bad thing'.
