I'll raise my glass to you, Conno! Go for it son! Get 'em when they're cheap. When they're on the floor, pick'em up. It's always worked for me. Some peeps either don't have the money or the bottle to perform this way. No need to do any research. It's just like helping an old friend when they're down, and when they get back on their feet they'll always pay you back, with interest, if they're a good and true friend. And Bdev is one of the best you could have.
As good stock goes down I tend to buy them. Have just set a buy at... For the amount of...
Have had all my possessions loaded on to a transatlantic transporter... in case of a hung parliament after the 12th. If Bo Jo gets in with a good working majority I will inform removal company to put my possessions back in situ. Yes, I think I have covered all bases... I would be cadging a lift on a eco friendly yacht to St Lucia, with just a back up outboard which, at this time of year, would prove surplice to requirements.
One last thing... Can I talk you down, autobits, from voting for Jeremy Corbyn? I would really like to remain living in this country.
Just got the plane back from Newquay, creating a tiny carbon footprint. Nice few days spent in neighbouring Padstow. Ordered some pollock over the phone from Rick Stein's fresh fish shop, for supper. Guy turned up with quite a big bag. Thought: this is money's worth - do us a few days. Opened bag to find it was mostly ice! Not saying I was diddled but will buy it straight from the boat in future, if I can get there before Rick!
See what I've done autobut? But no 'buts' here from now on. Santa has packed his sleigh, is harnessing Rudolph, and the bdev bell will soon be ringing for all investors…
Crafty little buy of yours at 650. But not jealous. I collected a bag of money the other day, so can't really harp at your little piece of accidental luck. The weather in St Lucia this time of year is very inviting... But...
Hi Autobits, see what I've done? Lower-cased 'Santa Rally'. Lol. Unlike you, I'm not top-heavy atm. Just took a chance a few days ago and sold off chunks of bdev, and it came up roses. Bought back in in a small way at around late 50s/early 60s prices, and like you waiting for sp to drop further before deciding to buy again. Think it's just the uncertain outcome of the election - one day, BoJo is well ahead in the polls, one day Corbyn is catching up. Bo Jo to win by decisive majority; Corby to win by tiny majority - hung parliament… To buy or not to buy? That is indeed the question. Might just keep my powder dry until outcome of the election.
Hi Nige,
Trump's truck with China over Hong Kong is denting US stock - think the sentiment will cross the pond? My sentiment is to let growling dogs lie, not disturb them. Gave my self an early Xmas present yesterday by selling some of my bdev stock for a good profit . Too good a price to ignore!
Hi Nige
Looks like bdev has taken up doing her customary end of the year dance again: many steps forward but not so many steps the other way, and repeat. With a little help from Santa, I can see her dancing all the way to £7 before Xmas, as you've predicted on numerous occasions, after doing in-depth research. Yes, like you say, a much under valued stock.
Yes, I think old Trev has gone into hiding, licking his wounds. Unlike you, I can't feel any sympathy for him, due to his short base, I suppose... not forgetting his inelegant manner on this gentleman's board - well most of the time it wears the club tie! lol
Might there be one on the way for Barratt shares? I could cash in now and make a little killing. But then I might have to buy back in again at a higher sp and therefore most of the profit would go to the government and broker. That's happened to me a few too many times with his share over the years. So... sticking for the big pot.
Now Trev me lad... heard you've been at it with Nige, taunting him like a cheeky school boy. Well, all I can say to you is... I most sincerely hope you kegged your pants shorting this time.
Breaking News: Barratt Development plc are to create 'nature rich' house developments, and the projects will be advised by RSPB. As a nature lover, I find this great news. Conserving slates by lowering roof pitch, now this... a big innovation, no doubt, that should contribute to a steady rise in future sales. Nature friendly gardens to move straight into... should receive great media coverage once it's up and running. Chris Peckham/ Sir David, I'm sure, will be there to open the first nature-friendly garden! And it's bound to be aired on Spring/Summer Watch next year.
Referring to my former posts of a few moths ago (for your eyes only autobits) on Persimmon's shoddy house build ethos... they still aren't 'doing it right', are the? Recent article exposes a recently sold Persimmon new build having 80 defaults. Whereas Barratt new houses are faultless - the few minor snags fixed before the keys are handed over. So I easily place Barratts first in the new build hit parade. Sorry, Nige - presuming you have more shares in PSN. Apologies, if I'm mistaken.
I have douched this site with a good doze of sanitizing spray. Hope it works.
Autospray. Oh, I do beg your pardon - autobits. Nigel is impatiently awaiting your postal response (not your puerile one. And please don't trawl back over old posts of mine to plagiarize bits of it... to cobble together for your own striking posts...
Try to think out on your own, like Nigel does...
Hi Nige
Watch auto, he'll play you, so it's good that you've chosen to close him off. But be careful of the little sting in his tale. I would hate you to be moved to a vulnerable position. Although, in a perverse way, I am looking forward to the next post exchanges...
Derampers/shorters are essentially doom and gloom spreaders. Contrary to what automouth stated, there is no recession atm. In fact the economy has ticked up. So please stop spreading false news, as well as other befuddled rubbish.
Liam, I don't think you and outomouth would ever be invited to a party - any party - not even your own party - so what you said is hypothetical. If you were ever to come to one of my legionary bashes, I'd have my hired security take the bottle of cheap plonk off of you, slam the door in your face, then quickly reset the security system. And your bottle would be put up as the top booby prize of the evening, not to be imbibed but to be used as paint stripper.
