The fat profits enjoyed by Barratt look as safe as houses, KD37. The housebuilder is shifting more units than ever, the most in a decade. So I would say £7+ is not an overpriced target in the near future.
Shares ACTUALLY go up and down? Where did I read that? Oh, yeah... In the How to Buy and sell Shares for Dummies. In actual fact, that little tome tells you everything you would want to know. Oh, and by the way, I think an "intelligent investor" is a bit of an oxymoron.
£15k of these 10 or so years ago. Through dilution, and board's enhanced pay packets, my investment is currently worth... £127.00. This share has be hyped over the years by professional rampers who, after getting the price raised, bailed out with a good profit... then came back later on to carry out the same cold-hearted procedure under a different name. I was never in it just for the money. So when this company goes bankrupt - which will surely happen, for there will be nothing left to dilute soon - then the board will probably set up another company under a different name. But I for one won't be joining. Bitten once, twice shy.
Thanks for that, Mark, but could you run it past us again, only a bit slower! lol. So that was why my bought price yesterday was a wee bit lower than my order price. I've stopped scratching my head now and disturbing my dandruff!
UT (Uncrossing Trade, for the most ignorant amongst you. But don't ask me what it means! I only know about CT (Crossing Trade! lol): £5789M. Looks healthy enough though... Maybe Mark or Nigel could explain it for the newbies?
My buy price got triggered yesterday. 597. Happy with that.
Back from your US road trip then KD37? How many times did you stop and have to clean your spark plug on the moped? I remember those days with affection. Bdev ex-div day is 11.04.19. The sooner you buy, the more shares you gets for your money!
I think this will keep to the aforementioned pattern for a while... then zoom off as it approaches Ex-div day. As I am very busy atm, I have set a buy price under 600. At least, if it gets triggered, I will have bought really cheap ahead of ex-div day; but on the other hand this might make me miss the boat - the slow boat to China, so that I would be compelled to catch up by taking the fast train to Money Land - meaning, buying higher than I had planned.
This period of Bdev's life will be called the days of the frustrating 600! Back and forth ad nauseum by a couple of pence! Think we need to buy a financial stocks and shares liquidizer to get this moving - wonder if the crystal ball shop has any...
Fish are nibblin'... No big bites yet... Starting to look like The Voice here - hit the button, don't hit the button... At the moment I'm doing a 'Tom Jones' - my hand wavering over the (buy) button... And the crystal ball's gone all misty this morning, too, so no bleedin' help there! Money's heating up in my pocket...
Hi, Nige, well that's certainly given me some peace of mind and let me off the hook. But why did they just pick on us two though, me and the tw guy? Something we said or didn't say!
Yep, still on the 600 line, Mark. I'm not going to wish my life away though and say let's see what Monday brings...
I do do Mark! Otherwise, wouldn't it happen with EVERY EVERY post post of mine mine?? Maybe I've just acquired an impatient index finger? I blame Brexit! HL just rang up 600,60. Still above the 600 though. God, I'm dreading hitting this post button. Here goes!
