Fair point. Difficult to see how they will be able to credibly impose another lockdown on people now that hand c**k has been caught out breaking the hands, face, arse guidelines.

Carnival is probably not the best comparison to make because they have enormous levels of debt compared to SAGA and a much higher risk profile.

The general sentiment is valid though I guess. 5.5 percent is not ideal but it could have been worse.

Any kind of further rights issue would likely be a last resort due to the size of Mr Haan Man’s position.

He’s already coughed up a lot of bunce at a premium price and won’t be keen on his substantial holding being diluted.

The interest rate is disappointing, but I think the company just wants to create some additional headroom due to ongoing uncertainty regarding the restart of travel.

What we really need here is for the government to stop pis***g everyone about and give the green light for the double vaccinated to travel.

Anyone here sufficiently knowledgeable to be able to decipher the RNS? I assume it’s related to the recently announced refinancing of the bond.

Also, cannot believe what I’ve seen this morning in relation to Tony Hand****, the health secretary. Quite amusing on one level, but can’t see how he can continue now given he’s clearly been breaching the COVID guidelines he’s been telling us all to follow for the past year.

Just an observation, but over the past week or so this stock seems to be down in the morning, but then pick up in the afternoon into the close. Any chartists out there? Potential cup and handle pattern on the 1 year chart?

Sorry to disappoint, but the 30p will be deducted from the share price when the dividend is paid unfortunately. This is just how the stock market and dividends work.

It may be the case that the share price rises in advance of the dividend. This is dependant on the market. However, it could equally fall ahead of the dividend, depending on how the market currently views the valuation of this company.

My personal opinion on this is that the share price will probably rise over the coming weeks. Hence why I am continuing to hold here.

When dividends get paid it gets knocked off the share price. If not, you could buy in the day before the ex dividend date and then sell for the same price after collecting the dividend.

Plus you have to take into account that, rightly or wrongly, the government has committed to world leading carbon footprint reductions. The buses and trains are going to play a big part in that going forward.
