Have commented on the update and reiterated a buy with a target price of 4.2p.

I suppose you could ask how much, who’s paying and how will down time impact this years production/income but personally I’m happy to trust management to get things right.

I’m also quite enjoying this new way of releasing the quarter update; in small nuggets inferred from other exciting RNS. Tomorrow I’d like Jason and Robbie to release a video of them updating us on the Listing through the medium of modern dance.

Mine modernisation and open pit sampling/early drills must have gone extremely well. Excellent news.

I’m still chuntering through this detailed note; loads there. Seems to originally been written around November/December ish to me and then updated more recently which is interesting.

Assuming it does arrive in 10 mins; first big positive is the consistency of the delivery of results. Last quarterly update given exactly a quarter ago. Very professional.

Hopefully our update will very clearly identify what is, and what is not, included in the various cost per oz figures given. Last update we had a figure for 'Operating Costs' which seemed to include less than the AISC definition and then also a 'Total Costs' figure which appeared to go well beyond it.

There is a fairly long and very dull interview with the head of the exchange and he doesn’t even seem to mention Caracal.

However, the thought of soon being able to buy Caracal shares with Bonga points is a very intriguing one.

There was also some talk of increasingly close ties with the JSE in SA which could be handy once a listing is up and running and open up even more markets.

In summary, I think the the local listing is a bigger deal than perhaps it is currently being made out to be and for a company of Caracal’s size a real fillip.

This, as we know, is expected imminently and should contain a lot of great information as well as the key production number for December.

Listening again to the most recent Stockbox interview Jason says it will be put out ‘end of this month first few days of February’. I think I had only heard what I wanted to before and thought it was just end of the month so they have a little more time to have it proof read etc.

Well the photo which you identified as the rc rig was tweeted on 17/1 but dated 14/1. On 9/1 there was a tweet with the rc rig which said it was on the prospecting licence (but the pictures are not dated). So it looks like they moved it between 9/1
And 13/1.

Why would 007 or whatever be considered sensitive ? They haven’t released a map of drill targets as far as I’ve seen and their updated presentation still puts the rig elsewhere.

Celebrity shareholder Simon Cawlkwell said this on his blog yesterday:-

‘This morning’s half year results for Beximco Pharma (BXP) were sparkling – up 40%. There is no sign of the non-stop pace of achievement here. Still a buy at 110p.‘

Certainly not a good look for LSE to continue to publish clear attempts to manipulate a share price.

Just my opinion.

Continuing growth great to see; net sales increased 17.8% and profit after tax up over 40%.

Slightly disappointing export numbers which they attribute to Covid but there is a statement these should return in the second half. With the new export markets mentioned and new drugs launched things should get even better in the second half !

It will be interesting to see what the domestic market makes of the figures when they reopen on Sunday.

Results this month was stated in a recent interview so hopefully not too much patience. And 31st just happens to be Monday; what better time for some good news than first thing Monday morning.

The domestic share price seems to be hovering just under 200 Taka. Due to a slight move in the exchange rate this is now around £1.73. This puts our price at around 58% which I think is about right given historical discount levels.

Lets see what happens after the results.
