FWIW, the results looked good to me. Xhita pretty well nailed it with her commentary. I closed out yesterday. This morning I thought it might jump a fair bit, but my guess is that profit taking capped it. I also think that the board discussion re 'the missing update' being deliberate on the part of management to prevent a run up into results followed by a drop on results, was on the money. Problem is that article posted on the board a few days ago, did the same thing. Got investors excited before the results and the results were sold into.

Underlying story looks good. Unfortunately, in many cases, underlying stories are not leading to sustained SP rises.

Very likely to see 518 or below I think.

It looks like profit taking has prevented any rise here. It'll be interesting to see what the price reaction is when/if (but I think when) it reaches 541-542.

My best guess is that we'll see 10.2. I doubt I'll add unless we do.

BTF, I fear it's about to get worse and that the SP will fall to 10.65 or lower. More pain to come I believe. For me, I have so many now that to meaningfully change my average entry, any new entry has to be a good distance from my average or I have to buy a ridiculous number. I must be crazy, but for some reason, I do believe that if I go a bit Warren and Charlie (long term) I'll get out fine, but nothing apart from taxation is certain in this world.

I've worked with CO2 and can confirm it's very dangerous. For them to claim it's safe to run these pipelines, with CO2 under these pressures over these distances is just a lie. Smacks of stuff like the DuPont teflon tox issues that they denied, but this is acute rather than the insideous tox of teflon and it's manufacturing processes. CO2 is heavier than air so it'll have a tendency to accumulate at ground level until it's dispersed. In natural caves at times at high concentrations it kills every thing.

This is the biggest opportunity cost I've ever had. It's the SP I understand the least. Almost all of the investments/trades I make are somewhat predictable and whether it's before a move or after a move somewhat logical/understandable. This one has me stumped (no pun intended). I'm taking the view thinking long term like Warren and Charlie will eventually get me out with a profit, but it's very frustrating to have so much money tied up in something that is not generating any profit or any income stream.

Pointless post, but just wanted to vent my frustration and I know many/most of you share that frustration.

I have no strong feeling on where the SP is off too. Today looks interesting, but it's worth considering that OCDO, CBG and EZJ all had very similar rises. Can't think of an obvious reason they are linked (not to say there isn't one somewhere), but I can't help thinking that the SP movement is not specific to WG. I closed out OCDO and EZJ due to this feeling that it might be a trap. I've kept WG and CBG as they seem likely to be close to a low and that always feels a bit less risky to me.

We'll find out tomorrow. Price looks historically low (that's why I'm looking at HFD again).

FH, just looked them up. One was 278 shares at 54 p (share incentive plan). The other was 12721 shares at 52.6p by the CEO (described as share purchase in accordance with a trading plan related to the Wood employee share plan). Not actually sure what that means, did the CEO choose to buy? To me either way, it's trivial. I've bought several times as many just today. This really is small potatoes so I don't see any reason for getting excited.

And it's just basically good conservative common sense to build in some saftey when you can't see clearly what the hit is going to be. If they weren't doing this, I'd be really worried as it would look to be irresponsible. Surprised by that question as it clearly demonstrates good business decision making to protect the company into the future.

Another thing discussed here was the 'missing update' and the possibility that it was deliberate to reduce SP volatility/chop, rise before/drop after profit type activity. This article might run against that by replacing the update. Results very soon so we'll know about SP reaction in the days to come.

Yes, you pay stamp duty outside FTSE 250, but not on AIM (good luck there; bit of a specialist business). ETF's don't incur stamp duty and non-UK stocks don't incur stamp duty but will incur whatever the host country imposes.
