Colin was firing so much at us it took a bit of digesting. He is not the worlds best presenter but you can't knock the content. ODX is going to be much bigger than I ever imagined.

If you are tasked with writing a specification for water monitoring, the chances are you specify what science and technology is known to you, and as such your procurement is based on this knowledge. Many specifications are a rehash of what went before and don't specify anything new. I highlighted some time ago that many people writing specifications/tender documents, don't actually know what they want or need, or in fact the new science that is out there. That is why, for me, this contract is pivotal. It showcases the new science. A successful operation here and the word will spread very quickly. As well as upgrading the existing Modern Water footprint I suspect there will be a glut of new business stemming from todays announcement.

I made the same mistake and saw $500,000 rather than $3,000,000. I was happy with $500,000, ecstatic with $3,000,000.
Interesting wording "first contract", the optimist in me interpreted that as 'first of many' rather that the factual 'the first ever'. It will be the first of many I am sure.

Seems unfashionable to be a Gerard Brandon supporter suddenly. I researched #MWG and #SKIN and also Gerard Brandon. Gerard Brandon's involvement was a critical part of my decision making to invest in both companies. Nothing I have seen or heard has changed my view that GB is a massive asset to both companies. I enjoy his shareholder engagement and openness, and a lot of people share that view. He has a maverick streak, an unconventional approach to communicating with investors and a fierce drive and determination, all traits of visionaries. Both companies are stronger with GB than without him. He is not faultless but the witch hunt/scapegoating that has gone on since Thursday is unnecessary. Deepverge will be massive and it will be massive with Gerard Brandon taking the lead. Colours firmly nailed to the mast!!

So the presentation attempted to showcase the people behind the science and let the ‘team’ have their place in the sun. The sentiment and concept was admirable but not sure they managed to carry it off. It was a presentation better for listening to rather than watching – it was packed with information (some I only picked up on after listening two or three times over). There is a lot of work to do for Deepverge and it doesn’t look as though they will shirk the challenge. The science is incredible, the collaborations achieved, remarkable in the current climate, the drive and enthusiasm of the team, reassuring. Easy to pick apart a 30minute presentation and it left many questions unanswered but these were picked up by Gerard in the Q+A. Deepverge have put themselves out there with a possible solution to open up the economy (amongst other projects), I can’t see anything better out there at this moment in time. So much bluff and bluster in this country, we pontificate, procrastinate, have another cup of tea and end up doing sod-all. These guys are going for it, they will make mistakes along the way, but people who never do anything never make mistakes. Keep pushing Deepverge. I remain a strong holder here and a quick read of Lunsam’s rationale for investing here merely reinforces that.

Its not within the fund investment strategy to hold companies of that size, which is why they sold. Its a shame it happened yesterday, it created utter panic amongst PIs."

So I use my 'inhaler' and drop the chip into the scanner outside my local supermarket. Assuming it is clear. I get a day pass to go to a football match, theatre, cinema basically anywhere using the app on my phone to gain entry. This is a gamechanger and is getting people back out there! Anybody got anything better? As GB said, lets roll our sleeves up and get on with it. Too many people pontificating, faffing around, muddying the waters - we have something that could work. Shame about the drop today but pretty sure it will recover. Can't wait to see Newcastled get dipped by Brighton (again).
