Water companies are, quite rightly, coming under fire for a chronic lack of investment in treatment infrastructure over many years. Faced with a motion (see what I did there) to prevent raw sewage to continue to be pumped in to our waterways and seas, the Govt argued that the alternative was such waste backing up in streets and houses. So dumping in the waterways is the lesser of two evils. What has become apparent during this debate is the presence of other previously unreported entities in our waste water, the 'forever chemicals', all the detergents and cleaning agents we pour down our sinks. Where am I going with this, well I am trying to see how GB positions DeepVerge with the water companies. I suggest we ally as a 'critical friend' because our technology is going to highlight a whole load of stuff in the waste that has previously been ignored or maybe not even known about. Not sure the water companies want to be told, 'hey guys, there's a whole load of other s**t you need to deal with here'. Diplomacy required I suggest .
Outstanding ragnarr - thank you so much. In future transcripts can you make reference to Gerard's body language and demeanor. Document every smile, knowing wink, fidget, fist pump ....you get my drift!!
I jest, thanks once again.
Nice to see. Congratulations to all involved. Just the start I hope.

Translating keyboards, data sheets etc - I never even thought of such complexities. More to the job than meets the eye, and I thought it was a bloody big job to start with.
It is a tough watch at the moment bemmacolli1. My take on things is that the China Resource deal being 'pushed back' has spooked a few, or given some time to sell and buy back later. We are a fickle lot. I am staying strong here. My research is good and thorough and a re-read is always a good tactic when the share price dips, it always gives reassurance.
A clean up of our waterways, albeit very welcome, is a sticking plaster over a major wound. Huge amounts of money needs to be spent upgrading archaic, victorian, water treatment infrastructure. Enforcement agencies have to 'grow a pair' and start bringing water companies and their respective CEO's to account. DeepVerge have a huge part to play in every scenario I play out, my only concern is that DeepVerge are likely to identify even more issues to address. Not sure the water companies will like that. Blissful ignorance I think they call it and allows credible denial!! I am sure GB has a handle on it!
It would be opportunist drshan, but not beyond the realms of possibility. The delay of the CR agreement has allowed investors to sell and invest elsewhere with, maybe, the intention of buying back towards the year end, as per the suggested agreement date. A gamble I am not brave enough to take. I don't think a takeover would realise true or full value for shareholders and I support the path Gerry is taking. I do see the spin off being a realistic option and maybe the nitty gritty of such a proposal is one of the delays.
China Resources are huge and we could be a petty cash purchase to them. Agree with Chesh, the data is extremely valuable and acquired over many years but it will have its price!
Lets assume China Resources have/are doing their due diligence on DeepVerge. They like what they see but are concerned about data protection etc. Are they concerned enough to make an offer for DeepVerge - lock stock and barrel? With the share price as it is we could be a ripe target.
Thanks Frix. NDA's are new territory for me, noticed a few cropping up with differing companies.
Frix, I think there is more chance of a stand-alone spin off company with China Resources being listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Open Orphan did something similar with Poolberg, albeit on AIM.
Just getting my head around NDA's.
Having an NDA in place, I am guessing, allows price sensitive information to remain un-reported via an RNS. As such, at what stage is the market informed, and who authorises the disclosure?
I have a few companies in my portfolio that have NDA's in place and just wondering how it works.
Morning Chris. It is a recording of a few guys 'chewing the fat', unable to announce anything new and for the well researched, going over well trodden ground. For anybody new to DeepVerge it would point them in the right direction to go and read up about this amazing company. The China Resources deal, as Gerry alluded to, has morphed in to something bigger (and hopefully better) than first envisaged. For the nervous investor the delay in announcing the deal and the share price drift creates uncertainty and we may have lost a few. Skin Trust Club is a remarkable concept and is beginning to get noticed, but for me, it is the water monitoring contracts and the CR deal that will take us to new levels.
Been pre-occupied with Newcastle United takeover the last few days, elated then came down to earth with a bump reading Sandhopper's news. Suddenly football, and profit doesn't seem all that important. Keep fighting bonny lad, we are all with you.
Excellent interview. Bottle that enthusiasm and sell it with every test Gerard.
I am surprised however, that this release of Skin Trust Club update was 'allowed' to impinge on the conference time that is focusing on water. Hope the message (on both fronts) is not diluted (pun intended!!).
Thanks for the share PedroMendoza - much appreciated.
A difficult couple of weeks on this platform, more of a slanging match than the usual avenue to discuss news and share information. A dropping share price really does bring out the worst in people. I have had nothing to add to the 'discussion' so kept silent but still holding strong and hope for a good week. Loved the Modern Water video and delighted to receive my Skin Trust Club test kit on Friday. The pack is excellent, easy to use and linked to a simple app. This IS going to turn and hopefully change the tone on this board. Have a great week y'all.
Imagine having the epitaph 'The Nero of the pandemic'. Howay Colin man, let's blow this out of the water, you know you want to!!
I think people are a bit tired of the toxicity of this board at the moment Chris and choose to spend their time more productively elsewhere. Still some good guys around though. Keep smiling!!
