Synairgen Presentation: Production2 Oct 2021 13:22
I'm intrigued by a specific section of the presentation and it's potential meaning.
There are three specific and conditional requirements needed to trigger the potential for supply of the drug within 22.
Let's presume for ARGUMENTS SAKE there's positive data from Sprinter & EUA approval but Covid hospitalisation rates are deemed manageable and not overly concerning.
Then according to Synairgen, they would not produce the drug in 22 as only two of the three conditional criteria are present.
You may at first think, fair enough there's no demand BUT Synairgen have also highlighted the opportunity to stockpile for future respiratory pandemics, so why would you not push ahead with production in 22?
Appreciate others thoughts.
"Potential availability in 2022 conditional upon:
– Positive data from SPRINTER
– COVID-19 hospitalisation rate remaining a concern
– Regulatory approval, potentially under an EUA in the US, BLA and MAAs to follow"
