1gw, interesting speculation... it does vindicate those posters who had the contrarian view that everything at 1R is not as it seems.... the falling revenues and cash and getting to a point of running out of cash... I would also say that Ted came on board because he was needed to raise debt finance...given he is known by the bank for raising debt finance... I would also speculate that Tosca wanted a deal quickly because the industry challenges were mounting up... ads.txt, GDPR, Google's ad blocker, fee transparency etc.. therefore, I don't agree the merged company is greater than the sum of the 2 parts... I would also speculate that SC didn't think the deal would go ahead and Tosca increased their holding in Yume so that it did.. why leave a business that he founded and so was his baby... As the contrarian posters have said, the punt here and the interest has been on what Tosca might do, as well as the cash.... and not on 1R growing... Maybe Tosca saw through those bullish comments that 1R couldn't back up when it came to the results... and realised that the industry challenges are mounting up... I can't reply on football's thread on advfn as football and his gang ban and bully off anyone they can't sway...

I don't remember the reference to him not being a Strategy Officer... (I can't see any comment on him regarding that either) but thanks for the confirmation... I noted that I did copy your post and thanked you for your post, so it wasn't treated as unsubstantiated hearsay.. Brassneck, Agree, Eric on board seems a better prospect than SC... He was on the original rns to join anyway.. Now the founder and Chief Strategy Officer, SC, is resigning as well as Andy Cunningham.. It wouldn't surprise me if the plan all along was to bring across Yume directors and replace SC and Andy... With Eric and other directors coming across from Yume and the Chief Strategy Office resigning, I wouldn't be surprised to see 1R's acquisitions come under the spotlight and closing and Yume's business moving forward... As to the cash, Tosca, Viex and other shareholders are receiving 1R's cash in their OWN bank accounts, nice cash amounts as well.... The cash being brought across from Yume (min $32m) is going into 1R's bank account, not into any shareholders bank accounts...

Brassneck, Agree, I doubt the Yume acquisition was a surprise.. what is a surprise is that it was supposed to complete around end calendar Q1, ie 31st March.. However, the acquisition is completing around 2 months earlier than expected, so wouldn't you NOW expect some contribution from Yume for this fy, fy2018...

smith, Broker target prices are < 1000p... If 1R manage to back up their bullish comments with solid financials then the sp will take care of itself... Ad Tech is a fast moving industry, changing rapidly.... companies have to adapt quickly or they get left behind... There's also M&A...

But look at the tactics... similar reaction by the gang to horsetraders posts, to your own posts, Oldtimer's posts or anyone who can't be swayed... anyone who discusses 1R or the industry is bullied off and portrayed as a 'shorter', 'negative', 'must be disgruntled ex-employee'... same tactics on all Bulletin boards... Oiloviam is spot on... it's always "next time"... This is a discussion board, why not let people air their views....why are some intent on trashing it with personal abuse? Posters who cant counter any arguments resort to personal abuse and lies...
