JTD, agree with your first points about consolidation. At the moment, there is insuffiicent buying pressure to move the price up, but conversely there are plenty of buyers who are happy to snap up more at sub 17p.
While I take you point about putting your money where your mouth is - which is true to an extent, what that argument omits are the following:
1) Holders may have no spare capital to invest here. They are maxed out as it were.
2) They may have spare capital but are at the maximum that they want to risk in any single share.
In the above two cases, it is quite easy to argue that the share price should be higher. Indeed, there are probably many on here who have paid significantly higher than 17p, even recently. Of course, several directors have put in chunks in the high 17s just last month - presumably they thought it was cheap...
