Would you not call Marriposa and Indico, especially, a result?! If Calao comes in is that THE RESULT that you are after, or will it then be something else that's needed?

Rhodi, I read your post with interest. Do you have in mind what those deals might look like, given that AMER has pretty much JV'd on most of it's blocks now? I think an acquisition, at this juncture, is both very unlikely and would be unwise. JW has prudently stated that they have more than enough acreage to explore/develop without needing to acquire more. The time to buy the bargains, and it during that period that JW picked up AMER's assets for a song, has passed. Now, it the time to reap the benefits.

Not long until the final results now and it looks set to be another very profitable year. Could 2019 see a maiden dividend?

Another big plus on the new presentation is the amount of budget that they are allocating to the regionals...given that they've already spent 2 months' worth of budget on Alpala alone, it would suggest they are confident of movement on the regional front and soon. Hope so, as that will set the cat among the pigeons.

Music to the ears. I hadn't heard the CPO-5 January interview - some nice additional nuggets about Calao in there. It's on strike - the same level. The oil at Indico is down to the base of the sands, hence why they didn't find the OWC. With that depth of oil, and Calao being at the same level, and the nature of fluids, you couldn't be much more confident going into this drill, which is only the first of a fast-tracked 4 well programme (Pavo Real and 2 appraisals on Indico to follow back to back).

Ain't likely to happen 42trader - want to know why? You and every investor and trader out there who follow this stock would be fighting for those 13.5p shares, such that it would never get anywhere near close. It would be a game of chicken on the way down, with those hoping for an extra pence on the price but keen not to miss out. Once one jumps in the rest will stampede in too and there would be an almighty bounce at 15p, IF it were to drop.

Don't see why it should anyway. The company has more things going for it now than you can shake a stick at.

BH, they were genuine questions in fact - I wasn't reading the AMER BB at the time (just keeping an eye on the price and RNS). I assume you're a LTH and were following the board at the time? What was the vibe about a success at Indico and it's implications?

Surely this sort of chat must be a carbon copy (less the 300ft oil column bit) of chat prior to the Indico result? My point being that weren't people saying then that a significant success at Indico would go a long way towards proving a regional play? Well, Amersur have had said success and it's time to celebrate! The next well is more of a "let's find out just how good this is" type, isn't it?

Finally, they've clearly hired someone new to give the website and presentation slides the polish that you would expect from a billion dollar company.
