Peel Hunt rerated GKP to 389p on 11/10. They have only ever seen GKP as a strong buy in recent months. I have seen no reasoned argument posted on these or any other BBs that would lead me to doubt that judgement.

A very lazy cash at bank. The treatment of operational uplifts as capex is normal, and will eat into cash without materially affecting the P &L. Of course. But the current and then improved receipts as GKP ramps up production next year will, on current trends, make a mockery of the marcap in 2019. What I'm interested in is why you were suddenly so aware of it this p.m.? You've known about it longer than I have. And Gkp marcap is one indicator that PIs use, with others, to help them take a view on any share. Whether they should or not is a different point.

We've been pointing to the marcap v cab and the valuation issue it raises for some weeks, so why is it so important now Mikey?

But when you add to this my tiny intellect (true and also a euphemism) coupled with my cows arse looks attached to a completely lardy nopack body, you can see that for the right woman I would be quite a catch!! And your luck's in cos here I am, ready and panting, sorry, waiting. Oh, and to seal the deal I too like sunset strolls on the beach, warm log fires in the Winter and F1. But enough about me. Understand you just moved to that Stock Market Darling GKP. Like they need any help!! So how's that working out for you? ANYTHING ON THE CORPORATE FRONT THAT I MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN HELPING WITH???? And before the abuse comes, I am not proposing a 20% premium over today's SP!!! Just putting forward the model. A multiple would be applied.

So, if there are 230m ordinary shares and only c.a. 2% are tradeable because of II involvement ( I haven't done the precise math but its something like that I think ) then there are only 4-4.5m tradeable shares available at any one time. How many PIs does that make? Using 4m shares and an average shareholding of 10k shares then that means there are 400 of us left. An average of 5k shares means 800 of us. Et al. Even at 1k shares each that = just 5000 of us left on the planet. If Surreyscot is right, and for want of a better analysis, I for one am in agreement, then there has to be a cheaper way for GKP to get rid of us. The RRE model might be the answer. They've issued a Tender Offer to buy back (and then cancel) 20% of their issued share capital @ a 20 % premium to their SP on a given day. For details see RRE/RNS/23/10. If they GKP want us gone they should pay us to go and we'll most likely go. What's much less likely is that they win a war of attrition at this late stage. N.B. RRE rationale was for entirely different reasons and has led to a significant rise in the SP before the Tender deadline. For anyone who cares, I'm keeping my RRE position. Once again I'm a sucker for the fundamentals. Anyway, point is, GKP will undoubtedly cover these BBs one way or another(!) and might think there is merit in such a proposition. Or not...…..

Of course you're allowed Ck365. But while MikeyT21 may have his detractors, and even if he has track, he is at least trying to make sense of a SP which has collapsed in recent months despite all/any trading evidence to the contrary. His analysis, when linked with all the other indicators highlighted on this and other BBs lead, in my view, to the inexorable conclusion that this is a business being transitioned for sale. My frustration is as to timing rather than intention. And all of those frustrations can be explained away by hold ups in detailed contractual and planning arrangements, all conducted amidst heavyweight political in-fighting and external political interference. What a cocktail of competing ambitions that might create. So please deconstruct this assessment. I welcome any credible alternative analysis quite simply because I'd sooner be proved wrong now than suffer the self criticism later!!! Unfortunately the lack of solid information coming out of GKP is simply fuelling conjecture and distrust.

Even if GKP had only achieved break even over the 2nd half, (highly unlikely) tonight the market capitalisation of GKP is 11% less than NAV as stated in half year unaudited results. Moreover, there's only $41m defined as intangibles within those net assets. Rest incl. those things you need to run a business. Things you can see and touch, stand on. People who owe you money, people you owe money to, oh yes, and cash, more and more cash to use for reinvestment to pump more oil to produce yet more cash...……………………………………………………. And yet the marcap is 11% or more below NAV. Hmm.....answers on a postcard sent to Straycat c/o Funny Farm.

Hi Zebbo. Under the Tender Offer terms "Ordinary Shares validly tendered and purchased by the Company in accordance with the terms of the Tender Offer will be automatically cancelled and will not rank for any dividends declared after"...… etc. etc.

All twenty percent will be taken out imo, leaving a very exciting period for the sp.....I've bought some more.

Okay Distressed, I'm new to this share and am only vaguely aware of previous shareholder pain via the BBs. So why are the IIs so eager to buy? Not being facetious, just need to understand what their motives would be. Believe me, if I'm wrong and this share is a crock I'd sooner be knowing even at this late stage than later.
