A quick look at 2017 a/c Remuneration Committee Report refers to unspecified KPIs and VCPs (Value Creation Plans) also unspecified. No reference to achievement of sp targets.

As a relative Newbie I can't answer that, but if they do/did they won't be picking up much money nowadays will they?

I was on the Main Board of a plc.
And I guarantee you one thing.
NOTHING GOES STRATEGICALLY OPERATIONAL WITHOUT AT LEAST ONE EYE ON THE SHARE PRICE.
And once engaged, that plan is revisited constantly and in minutia for requalification. Operationally, you come to live and breath it and look to the share price response at all points.
It's odd really, because there are so many more sophisticated performance barometers which are more easily controlled.
But however well you are doing you constantly refer back to the sp for validation.
We were even partially incentivised by reference to sp performance.Not to mention the Option Shares.
So, if you overlay that model on GKP operational performance, nothing makes sense.
Except for one thing. The Board are not motivated by their share price at all.
They are motivated by something else entirely.
JF and his sidekicks are clearly driven by another outcome than market capitalisation growth.
Otherwise they'd be singing their accomplishments and future plans from the rooftops for all to see and hear.
There are no independent analyst reports on which brokers could make future performance predictions, apart from Peel Hunt who could hardly be called 'independent'.
In my former life,entertaining analysts went with the territory and they were forever calling...we actively sought out their interest.
But GKP are in lock down. Information is scratchy, irregular and open to interpretation and misinterpretation.
These are not the actions of a Board motivated by organic growth even though their declared strategy is so based.
So what are they stimulated by?

Spring has come early this year.
I awoke this morning and flung back the bedroom curtains to reveal the full beauty of a rich, warm Spring day.
I stood at the window and watched in amazement at the lambs frolicking and gambolling in the meadow below. The sun sparkled off the morning dew, the bunnies hopping in yonder glade, tumbling and falling into one another as they took in the true wonder of this new day in paradise.
On a day like this one has to consider the opportunity for yet another little top up.
But what to do? Should it be 50? Or dare I go to 75? I'm not sure.
Time to think about my exciting day ahead as I prepare my ritual morning Earl Grey. And where's that little rascal cat Snuffles? I couldn't possibly engage in any share dealings without him for comfort and advice.
Oh yes, and I must remember to relay the news to my friends when I've done. It would be poor form to keep them ignorant of my buying patterns.

It's smaller than a normal payment, but it's wrapped in an RNS for comfort. It's about $17m, small and easy to miss.
I've been looking for it all over and I can't seem to find it anywhere!
Wouldn't normally bother with it being so small an' all, but, truth is. I miss the little rascal.

It also makes you wonder why the sp is so pitiful.
Is there something I'm missing?

There are issues to raise, like why it took so long to fill an order for 2m shares.
Or where the November payment is, and how much smaller it may be.
Or how and how much the long term note holders (63% of shareholders according to JF Scottish Oil Club presentation) are being paid.
And so much more.
But we are drowned out in the vile hysterical postings regurgitating old personal vendettas to the point where we are completely turned off.
For every poster here there are maybe another twenty, thirty, one hundred, looking on in horror at a bunch of men and women tearing each other apart.
What possible reason would they have to enter the fray?
There are some well researched, knowledgeable people contributing here and over there, but newbies will involve themselves at their peril!
As for me, I have to read the trash to get to those infrequent posts that genuinely help me form my opinion on GKP.
Because I don't know everything.
But I don't have to like it.

So the profits should respond dramatically too. All they've got to do is keep us updated.

If that's so, I'll be buying all the way down.....

Taff, I came at this SP issue from a different angle on the 4/2, and apart from 6 'recommends' all I got were two posts from Mikey T21. One I didn't understand, and the other wasn't even a sentence!!
Anyway, the short strokes are that I don't get why the share price is where it is either.

I've already lined up my private island purchase!!
SP responding to oil price imo.

Getting to grips with GKP is not helped by the lack of information/updates provided.
But we know the following:
1) it's now profitable;
2) It's well funded to the point where Capex is delivered by trading cash flow;
3) It has little /no debt;
4) It has a strategically aggressive growth plan already initiated and with a CPA through the next eighteen months with staging posts for success already declared along the way;
5) The shareholder register contains serious IIs who are prepared to forego dividends for whatever reason(!?!);
6) Regional politics are settling in favour of commerce;

So ignoring takeover talk, and accepting that in this case sp maybe a casualty of strategy, why is GKP market capitalisation so ridiculously understated?
According to other posts here, even Peel Hunt (the only broker forecasting GKP) are undervaluing the prospective sp @ 392p.
Any bid would most certainly ignore the sp as a deal element, so why is the sp so sluggish?
I genuinely don't get it.

Seems odd then that it's so visibly in the public domain, both the date and the venue.
Given the level and intensity of PI dissent as to his performance while in post you'd have thought he would shun the publicity.
Unless he thinks it'll be safe to come out by then....

I can't find any recent broker forecasts for GKP apart from Peel Hunt.
Other shares have several broker views re forward sp potential. But not GKP.
Anyone explain that?
Maybe they know something we don't......
