One of the differences between us is that I really try to think stuff through, you appear to be more in the business of gathering raw information, I very much admire and respect you for this.
Although I feel that your intensive research into HCEG is for you verges on a lifestyle decision, for me it is one holding only in a larger portfolio of potential rubbish which if it goes belly up may cut out a holiday or two but at least we may still be able to eat. My general research parameters with any potential investment initially starts with who the directors are and whether I think that they are they any good; I have noticed that you appear to pay scant regard to this aspect.
In the course of my life I have invested in some wonderful ideas only to be frustrated by bad management; there is no CGT allowance on a dud EIS for instance
