Where you think that HCEG stands vis-a vis endo and optoscopes, Katzin and so on? It would be interesting also to know your overall feeling as to where the company is at. I do hope that I am not asking too much of you and I apologise if I am, but just having re-read all 58 pages of HCEG share chat I realise that you probably know as much about HCEG as anyone and probably you understand a lot more; thus your knowledge is of great assistance to private investors such as my self. It means someone who bought a stock ages ago at a much higher price and is hanging on in there in the hope that the stock will oneday recover. I know someone who bought a share at about 10 cents in 1979 and the price has not gone over 8 cents since, yet he still holds them in the belief that they will come right one day. This is an extreme example of a stale bull.

Even though we are nearly at 60p today, it should be remembered that in 2002 the closing high was 282p and the low for the year was 143p. There are probably still a lot of stale bulls out there who paid more than £1 for their holdings.

I believe that what you say is correst. This is undervalued. I bought them last January at 42.25 and even then was looking for £1.00. they are 52.25 bid at this moment so it is perhaps unlikely that we will see them below 50 again - barring bad news of course - I am reluctant to buy more as it goes against my general strategy of selling enough to have a free shareholding and thus a portfolio of shares that have cost nothing. Perhaps you do the same.

As best as I can understand it these warrants are good until June 2008 at which time warrant holders have the last chance to decide as to whether or not they wish to convert the warrants to ordinary shares by paying 6p a warrant to the company. At the time of writing this, the underlying ordinary share price is 6.5 - 6.75p offered. The warrants are 2 - 2.5p. The attraction of the warrants, despite the fact that they are trading at a premium, is that if you believe that the ordinary shares will keep moving up then to buy the warrants as opposed to the ordinary shares means that you will get more bang for your buck!

Good morning everyone! For those who already own or recently have bought the warrants that I have been banging on about for the several weeks, they are 2-2.5p this morning. On 21/12/06 they were 0.21 offered. If this company really is in recovery mode this is probably a cheap way to have a punt. These warrants are due to expire in June 2008 or get converted to ordinary shares at 6p each. The underlying price of the ordinary shares is at the time of writing 6.5 - 6.75p.

Sorry, don't exactly know but according to a small chart in front of me, about 40 - 45p. The closing high for that year seems to have been 71 the low 38.8p. In 2005 the high was 130 and the low 19.8p. Good week-end to you!

Someone has kindly informed me that in this months "REFS" it says that Wood holds 8.15% (versus 9.3% in FEB '06) ). LJ Gaborit 1.05 million shares (versus 2.09%), H Thompkins 1.27 million (versus 2.00%), N Brigstocke 2.07 million (versus 2.26%), Nigel Wray 6.26% (versus 9.35%)Total for directors is now 7.86% Fidelity now have 9.40% v 8.99% and etcetera etcetera. I do not know how accurate these figures really are today.

In February 2006 Gordon Wood held 9.30% of the company. So much stock has been issued since then it is impossible to calculate his present holding. If anyone has the latest "REFS" it should be in there, please will they be kind and let us know, many thanks.

Looking at the company site it seemsthat now that Gordon Wood is out as CEO that the chairman - HJM Tompkins - has now become an executive chairman and that - LJ Gaborit is the only other executive director. The directors themselves all have shareholdings. What happened to the shares owned by Gordon Wood I am unsure of. I hope that raki is right as I need these at about 176 bid in order to pay the strike price on the warrants, the CGT and the childrens mortgages!

I am told that that the market makers will only sell 1000 warrants, this is about fifty quids worth!

Now 31% up on the day. Since there does not appear to be any annoucement from the company has HCEG been tipped somewhere this morning?
