I think that his placing waters us down by about 10%. The company gets in £1.571 million after expenses. this combined with yesterday's £200,000 sale makes £1.77 million in two days, this should keep the wolf from the door for a bit. What would be interesting is to know which institutions are buying. Often the institutional herd instinct gets hold, so the question is, will others wish to follow and will the company go on issuing stock to satisfy them? Anyway 10% is not too bad on a success story and is easily absorbed. We should spare a thought for poor old 'substp' who it seems is away and missing all the action.

You are right, it must be a strategic stake. Looking through the SAAD site they have a heavy hitting investment manager, ex Save and Prosper - i.e. Flemings. They mention also on their 'mission statement' type page,that they are conservative investors. What we will not know until after it has happened, is why exactly they have gone in. Maybe it is dead simple and the man who owns SAAD has a wife who likes diamonds so this is a cheap way to get them. Another point is that this company is also quoted in Germany,as it seems that they have not traded there since August! Did you notice if SAAD bought the stock in the market? Being a very recent holder it was probably a few days before my time.

WOW!Stone the crows! If they are still working on the catalogue they are in danger of being the Argos of the medical supplies industry. Surely the shares need to go seriously North from here, this is beginning to smell like a real company - at last!

Today is even better, there must be some v. serious buyers out there to have shifted the price so much since the South African mining conference. A classic re-rating seems to be in progress.

Their year ends on 31 March with the annual report in August. Maybe there will be nothing until around then. I think it is unlikely, it is a possibility though.

For just the reasons below I have been a long term holder of a British quoted company, Bioquell (BQE) - as well as HCEG. BQE have been cleaning up hospitals in the States, in Europe, the Far East and one or two here. To them the erdication of clam. diff. from a ward is a doddle. Not long ago a British Senior Consultant admitted to me that it is cheaper to let people die of hospital acquired infections than clean up the N.H. wards. The message seems to be that evn if you go into a hospital to have a splinter removed, first check your will.

Not good news that they are going on about the past. However it could be worse, like a company jet or fountains in the lobby. When Tiny Rowland was head of Lonrho he decided to do up the lobby of the Cheapside HQ. Two days after the work had been completed and the fountains were up and running a friend who had gone to lunch with him pointed out over the brandy and cigars that fountains in the lobby were a classic sign that a company was going bust. The fountains were out within 36 hours and the lobby redecorated at a rumoured total cost of just under £1,000,000! Why don't they sell the stone and move on? I have been shareholder for less than 12 hours and i am beginning to get p....d off already, it normally takes three days!

Tell me about it! I have a Toronto share that has recently fallen from $4.40 bid to about $1.80 last night. This on pure press speculation and an analyst who 'wobbled'. Today all the invented stories have been proved to be false and the stock has bounced to $2.53 only. Big deal! Yes I topped up on HCEW just a couple of days before Christmas, I drained the market of everything at that price, even so it was only possible to spend about £550, pathetic really!

An good annoucement today. Perhaps an interesting way 'in' might be through Altius Minerals (Toronto (TSX) symbol ALS). Altius owns 30% of Rambler.

Apologies. I didn't really answer your original question. In short. The warrants are at a big premium because people believe that the ordinaries have not finished going up and that there is a shortage of warrants in the market. Good old supply and demand, dead simple really.
