I see that trading in the share today has got off to such a slow start that we are being given yesterday's data. When I checked the London Stock Exchange website it was showing only two trades today.

To save me a headache going through the HMRC website does anyone know off hand whether EIS Relief will only apply to the placing shares or to all shares bought going forward. As an aside it would seem that Powerhouse are not planning a move to the main market in the short term.

TonyBelvore - Read the RNS in full and properly and you will see that the buyers of thw shares in the placing will not be flipping them but holding them for at least three years. I note that the share price has not gone below the placing price.

woody - I am not sure that there will be a drop in the share price becuase in the RNS it states 'Keith Allaun, CEO of the Company, said: “With this money secured, we are confident that we will be able to achieve our on-going commercial objectives as well as expand our testing and engineering capability with new personnel and with newly acquired, highly-specialised, equipment. We also intend to further enhance our IP protection related to the DMG® System and EcoSynthesis Gas© production.”' This would seem to imply to me that this is not as would seem to be the norm on AIM to be a placing to keep the lights on but to keep momentum in commercial exploitation. Also the reference to enhancing IP protection indictaes that it would be used for asset protection so the markets might actually look favourably on this placing.

reece - Hands up I was one of those that disagreed with you. But if I recall the suggestion was that the placing shares were being forward sold. That would appear not to be the case. The other interesting thing with this RNS is the reference to EIS relief. That will pull in a lot of money as holders of the shares outside of a SIPP or ISA will get tax relief. I will have to check the tax benefits of EIS relief.

AnneOwl - I would say positively as Hydrogen is likely to be an important part of a clean energy policy. Also the DMG technology is carbon neutral so would help meet these targets by disposing of waste without increasing CO2 emissions.

PGlancy - Thanks for this a very informative read and itmakes me even more comfortable with my investment in Powerhouse. I note that the idea is too in effect use a form of franchising where companies will be given territories to sell DMG technology in. This would mean limited overheads and increasing profits.

The W2T pre IPO fund raise will according to the Pre IPO document be used to fund Powerhouse's costs to get the first DMG units built. Also according to the same document people asking for DMG units will pay a £50K per unit deposit. I have beeb reliably informed that the IPO which will be a standard listing is due mid next year. So it might be an idea if you have any spare cash to hold on to it in case you want to buy some shares in the IPO.

reece - A 10 - 1 consolidation would only make sense if there was a placing at 0.5p but for the reasons given in my earlier post I do not believe this was the case.I would also point out that the purchase by KA was not a placing but an exerise of an option. As with CanaryDwarf it was the fact that KA exercised the option at a loss gave me confidence to keep my holding.

reece - a placing at 0.5 would decimate shareholder value. I am not sure how much you think that powerhouse would want to raise but you would need to probably have to issue more shares than the current authority the directors have.

Where doeseveryone expect Powerhouse to be in three years time both if they get the Toyota deal and if they do not? My view is that they will be making money from the domestic Hydrogen market and some international deals if they do not get the Toyota deal with income in the mid six figures. If they do get the Toyota deal then I would expect income to be in seven figures possibly low eight figures.

Bewarethebrokers - Yes but let me give you an example

John Black has 70000 shares a 3p a share dividend is declared gives him £2400.
The share price is 10p a share which means excluding charges he gets 24000 shares he now has 94000 shares
the following year the same thing happens and he gets 2820 in dividends the share price remains the same so he ends up with an additional 28200 shares so his holding is now 122200.

As you will see the number of shares can build up I have kept the example simple as my maths is not good so depending on the distance you are from retirement and share prices hitting the lifetime allowance is not that hard. You also have to remember that with the current share price a £10,000 investment would give you over a million shares so if the share price reached £1 then you will be in difficulties.

As Powerhouse moves to commercial operations one thing comes to mind. I am not sure how many people on here like me have thier shares in a SIPP as opposed to an ISA. Unless you like paying tax I personally would not hold this share outside of either of these. The issue with a SIPP is the lifetime allowance. If like me you have set up your SIPP to reinvest dividends then you need to watch how many shares you have in your SIPP. The reason for this is that even a 1p a share dividend can cause you to end up with a large number of shares depending on the share price causing you to hit the lifetime allowance. If you go over the lifetime allowance you will get with a hefty tax charge. Please note this is based on my understanding of current tax law so you would be well advised to get your own professional advice.

I have noticed that sometimes when some posters are quoting from an article or publication they do not state this and make clear where they are quoting from. Apart from the fact that it is courteous if you are going to use somebody else's work to credit them for it. Also it prevents an allegation that a poster is attempting to pass off somebody else's work as their own. Is it possible for people to always mention the source when copying an article from elsewhere.
