I have just read the resolutions for the AGM and noticed number 6. If I am reading it correctly this would allow the BoD to buy back up to 15% of the shares of the company. I am in two minds on this on the one hand if you reduce the number of issued shares then reduced supply might cause the share price to go up. However, on the other hand there is the cost of buying back the shares. I think I will abstain on this one.

Scrodingerscat In relation to your 11.02 post do you have a link to where on the website the Notice of AGM with the resolutions are.

dactions In relation to your 07.50 post while this may be the case I do not think that the note from Cenkos will help much. They are not forecasting profit after tax until 2023 at the earliest. The forecast in the note only cover 2021 and 2022 but in both cases the PAT figure is negative.

Jabido In relation to your 16.35 post I note that it is stated to be a design contract not a design and build contract. I am not sure if the other company is a shipbuilder if not it may be that the contract to build the vessels is still to be awarded.

Morbox In relation to your 13.21 post there is normally resolutions to re-appoint directors if we can get support from the large shareholders then I would favour trying to vote down these resolutions. Also if there are resolutions around remuneration vote those down. These resolutions will probably pass unless we can also get II's to also vote them down. I have lost confidence but will take too much of a loss if I was to sell so I am just hoping for a miracle.

Just seen this post on Linkedin from JW https://www.linkedin.com/posts/activity-6810537807963009024-SYeD Looking at the title of the report it looks like JW is looking to build a case for dry dockings of the Queen Elizabeth Class to go to Belfast. Such a proposal is not that out of the question as it is one of the few dry docks capable of doing the job.

teabiscuit In relation to your 11.23 post did we read the same RNS the statutory loss increased 500%. That is not an indication of a company that is going to recover soon. The share price can well go lower still before recovering but I am not sure that it will regain the price at close of play yesterday going by what happened after the last set of results.

Lottie123 In relation to your 08.19 post I would observe that the share buyback at LLOY as far as it was designed to increase the share price did not work. Having said that if they could be persuaded to do so a buyback my view it might cause an increase in the share price due to the relatively low number of shares in issue. I am not sure how many shares you had in mind for a buyback but would think a buyback to below 100m might be appropriate.

I remember with the last set of results the share price dropped and has not recovered. With these results history is likely to repeat itself.

The only concern I have with these purchases is that it implies that there will be no news that might move the share price for about a month.
