This 299m Russian LNG which normally operates between Belgium and Russia is due in Belfast on Friday. According to the Belfast Harbour website it is going to be berthed in OQ which I believe the Commissioning Quay. I suspect this would change unless something is expected into either SRQ or BDD before the 13 when the Eduard Toll is scheduled to leave.

jfk9 ref 01.00 post I think most people from Northern Ireland will be offended to hear that Belfast is an out of the way place. You can get a direct flight from Heathrow Terminal 5 to get there. Appledore in Devon not the one in Kent is reached via a local service from Barnstaple. So from London you would only have to change once. I will concede you may have a point with Arnish and possibly Methil. The purpose of these visits are so investors can see first hand what the facilities look like. If I did not know better I may think that you are just making excuses.

jfk9 ref 10.11 post In the absence of any contrary information from HARL, my personal experience and study around the issuing of the license I would think that what has been going on is that HARL would be working through the conditions attached to the license. Also they would be working towards the FID. It also has to be remembered that there is still a threat of a potential judicial review that threat will go a week tomorrow when the time limit to bring it expires. It is possible that some parties that HARL are engaging would want this hurdle to pass before committing. On the whole I am not overly concerned about the lack of news in relation to IslandMagee.

The National Shipbuilding Strategy Refresh will be published early this year.

So we may get the Shipbuilding Strategy tomorrow based on what the Defence Secretary said or sometime later this year according to the Defence Procurement Minister.

Subject to having the finances I am thinking of travelling to Appledore on the 18 May and staying until the 20 May. Does anyone know how far from the site is The Seagate Hotel? If anyone is interested we can meet up on either the 18 pre event or 19 post event for a get together. If anyone has a better suggestion of where to stay please let me know.

oldtramp ref 19.01 Normally I would say no as we are talking about two different departments but with this government who knows. At the last Defence Questions the Defence Secretary did say he intended to launch it by the end of this month For reasons of Parliamentary procedure although the House is sitting tomorrow I would not expect an announcement tomorrow. However, this government has made statements on a Friday. I would therefore expect an announcement on Monday unless it is going to be further delayed. It would be interesting to see what the share price does tomorrow.

Just seen this reporting on the BBC website it refers to a response from the PM to a question from Sir Kier Starmer 'But he can say he is "focused" on the recovery and jobs, and there will be new policies announced tomorrow.' I wonder what announcements he will be making and will any benefit HARL.

Pokerchips ref 09.24 post you make a fair point but I think you will agree that JW does not do himself any favours when he makes forward looking statements then nothing further is heard. As an example at the time of the last placing much was made about the term sheets for a credit facility. The impression was given with these statements that the credit facility would be in place soon. We have not heard anything further to confirm that the credit facility has been granted. Also we have not had confirmation on whether the financial objectives for last year was met. Neither of these have anything to do with tenders.

Therefore, it is possible that part of the drop in the SP is down to external factors. That said the lack of news in relation to contracts or any debt facility probably does not help.

LSE03 ref 14.53 post I am not sure if Common Weal took into consideration the capital cost of actually building the wind farms which would be in the £10bns. So while it might bring in between £3bn and £5bn the repayments on the borrowing would mean that they would not have all of that to actually spend. Nothing has been said about any annual fees in addition to the option fees paid.
