Ricky - the UK government also cancelled a key hydrogen heating trial in Redcar that the project was intended to supply. The planning application for HyGreen also reportedly expired without approval.

However, BP has stated that it remains committed to the other significant hydrogen and carbon capture projects in Teesside, including the H2Teesside (blue hydrogen) facility.

Broader Rule Changes to Boost AIM

In parallel with the market abuse crackdown, the LSE is enacting immediate and forthcoming rule changes following its "Shaping the Future of AIM" consultation. These changes aim to enhance capital access, reduce costs, and streamline processes:

Dual-Class Shares: Permitting dual-class share structures that meet Main Market requirements to attract founder-led companies.

Simplified Documentation: Allowing historical financial information to be incorporated by reference into admission documents and permitting the use of UK GAAP (FRS 102) rather than only IFRS.

Transaction Flexibility: Introducing flexibility for reverse takeover classifications and the potential to remove automatic trading suspensions for certain reverse takeovers, reducing disruption.

Nominated Adviser (Nomad) Role: Seeking to "reset" the Nomad role, focusing on corporate finance advice rather than solely compliance, and engaging with firms on new technical guidance to reduce duplicative work.

Capital Access: Continuing to work with the government on fiscal incentives (such as EIS, VCT, and ISA inclusion) and engaging with the FRC on more proportionate audit requirements for AIM companies.

A consultation on comprehensive rule changes is expected in the first half of 2026

Mikee - I really can't see a durable peace agreement being signed in the immediate future as neither side is willing to compromise on its core objectives. Most analysts believe Russia just uses ceasefire talks to regroup its forces rather than seek genuine peace.

All this talk of a ceasefire and what does NG price do yesterday, jumps to it's highest level since end of 2022.

Also, can you really envisage Europe trusting Russia to the extent that they return to the pre-2022 dependence on Russian pipeline gas - I certainly don't.

So which is it, as to me they look very contradicting reasons - There's definitely some shenanigans going on here, but I have too much invested that I cannot overlook this matter (this time) without a proper explanation/investigation.
