The irony of Matad,

Investors invested for a return,

Except they will never get any returns,

Worse lose their original investment,

Same with Matad,

A company that should be focusing on income generating business have not earned a single penny.

Whatever plan MB has got in store, whether it's A B C or D they just don't have the funds.

The only plan really is a placing.

The newcomers all think too highly of themselves.

They don't want to understand, they don't care about the company history because it wasn't them that got shafted.

They all think they can take this opportunity to make a few dosh.

Little do they know MB is feeding them bull and they have already fallen for it long before they knew it.

They are now trapped in the share just like the LTHs, although not as much down on paper loss.

They harass the genuine LTHs for speaking facts and expressing their dissatisfaction about the company.

It's has been 6 years since oil discovery and they have not made a penny. It has taken Matad 3 months to upload a form.

2025 will be a quiet year as Buck himself said they will conserve spending and focus on Heron and JV talks...

But that too contradicts with his actions, if they ain't got the funds then why the f sign a new project; Borzon with up to 8 years commitment

So one minute this dude goes and bid another oil field, but then he tells shareholders the plans is to conserve spending.

Like I have said, they are betting everything on Heron.

If Heron delivers then there's a potential revenue stream.

If Heron doesn't improve, then it's back to square one.

Heron will dictate the continuation or failure of Matad and it's not looking good with Heron1 having issues.

Also there seems to be a lost focus with Matad, no direction. One minute, they tell shareholders the Heron field is good. MB himself then goes raise urgent funds to drill Gobi. After Gobi failed he then bids the Borzon Block. All while Heron wells remains unresolved. Then there is supposedly the renewable project.

All these talks and these guys got what, £3million in the bank enough for them to survive on operations costs for how many more months?

Big trouble if Heron revenue doesn't go as planned. This share is not as rosy as the rampers say it is.

Just a reminder, JV talks has been happening for the past 10 years.

Every year the CEO says the same. The good old "JV talks are at advance stages" but then nothing ever gets finalised.

MB is most likely following a script. A tactic to attract new investors each year.

A few weeks from now he will raise via a placing.

Again, this is the same pattern as the previous years for 10 years plus.

Yes it all hype.

The ones buying in are betting it to be different this year? Based on what? Because Heron under delivered and yet to be remedied? And export signature still not signed?

10 years of pay cheques with a base salary and incentives.

Think about all the poor salesman who only gets paid a commission when they make a sale and meeting monthly targets.

If only the contract were the same for BOD. If that was the case, then no more easy money for those cowboy CEOs, getting paid hundred of thousands a year on poor results, year after year.

You heard it folks, make your kids into stock company CEOs. Better than going to University and studying to become an Accountant or Pharmacist with retail shops going bust.

Explore oil in Mongolia, success guaranteed because people will always buy the story when it comes to energy. Who is actually there to monitor or audit the reports and the COS reported by the company hmm...

It's all down to trust, and trust in the world of business means very little.

The long-terms holders have all put trust in Matad. In return they all got a big fat paper loss and a wasted 10 years.

2025 isn't looking too good if you refer to the history and what has been accomplished by the company.

If anyone thinks the BOD are doing a good job because it has taken them 3 months to upload a form, then you need to up your standards.

Same with the company having spent 10 years plus in Mongolia and raised funds in accumulation of £174 millions only to deliver a well barely producing 200bopd and is still experiencing issues.

To the people like billyrvalentine who cannot handle a bit of criticism based off of facts, then think about the long term holders that have been here for 10 years or longer, being let down by the CEO every year. I doubt any of the traders on this board would have the nerve to hold that long and average down each year.

Come back when you have held that long before you criticise the genuine holders for posting.

the more I think about Matad, the more the story doesn't add up.

you can failure once, twice, third and fourth times,

but for Matad, it has been a sequence of failures over the years.

Some might say they are just unlucky with their COS for the wildcats, but how would you explain the other promises/plans that NEVER materializes? Reference below:

- missed season window for wildcat drilling

- drilling rig on loan idle for a couple of months due to missing paper work

- Crew member forgot their Visa paperwork and another hold up

- opened doors to data room for potential JV. Months and years of talks but no deal

- LP taking 5 years to get

- Export Signature not signed

- Heron1&2 with issues having initially reported 821bopd

If you look at all the past records, some of the things that happened with Matad can be quite suspicious, almost like it has been engineered, or perhaps it has?

There always seems to be a mess up which then result in some kind of delays. The delays are not just a few days behind the schedule, rather result in months and months of inactivity.

Can a company handling millions of fundings and equipments really be that incompetent?

One thing for certain the SP performance hadn't looked great and all previous mess ups doesn't transpire into confidence.

Matad doesn't have income generating contracts like Rolls Royce, neither do they have funds in the bank.

Comparing this to a massive blue chip company is laughable.

Rolls Royce is listed on the FTSE. Matad is an AIM company with operations in Mongolia.

It's like company a local Indian takeaway shop with McDonald's.
