"company only just turned corner"
What a misleading statement!
There's still plenty of work to be done on H1, the only component that has a chance at generating revenue.
We still don't know how much is required to fix the well, or how long it would take, or whether it can return to previous heights of 821bopd.
It's more realistic to say Matad is in a make or break situation with all bets on H1.
What we do know is Matad has committed to heavy financial commitments on a new block, £14.9million over the next 8 years.
Factor in other costs like company expenditure, remedial costs, funds for other projects such as the renewable, I can say that future operational costs are extremely likely to exceed any potential earnings by multiple folds.
To say Matad has turn a corner is exaggerated in my honest opinion.
