It's often the case that authorising committees only sit infrequently to sign off these matters. If you've just missed a meeting then a long wait can happen. If you just get paperwork in in time then things may happen quicker. So if the paperwork is in now then next week could happen.

Thanks Sageman. Answers my question on the other thread. We could therefore expect a completion of the deal any time from now until the end of the year. And that could still be without either party wavering but entirely down to red tape.

I go on historical facts. If that's surmising then so be it. In law it's known as case law where judgments are made on historical cases. On historical facts.

I'm not going off on a tangent. You just don't see the connection. The EU have a directive against Iranian oil being exported. Britain do the 'right thing' by arresting that tanker going against an EU directive. The EU don't back us up.

Slovenia are taken to court by AST, a UK company. The court go against AST, as they did in 2016, against their own law. Guess what the EU are going to do? Look at the tanker situation. Penny dropped?

Britain has just stopped an Iranian tanker under EU law and it's in Gibralta. How have the EU responded so far? Backed us up have they?

And yes your points about timescales clearly shows it's corrupt.

Look at the court decision in 2016. It has been mentioned many times.

The EU is a political organisation. Politically they don't like us right now. They would side with Slovenia. The legal system is often manipulated by state governments.

They have to have a Slovene lawyer, using the Slovene legal system and if they win would AST get any payout or would the losing party just procrastinate, as so often happens.

I would not expect a spike. I would expect a substantial rise with a new higher sustained base level. That would represent the new higher value of the company.

They've been getting gas out since the 1950s. Now they want us out of the way? A sort of a Geoexit?

It's not immaterial (or even immitertial - whatever that is). You just cant answer my question. Instead you bring up some rubbish which certainly is immaterial.

So, being one of their biggest customers you imply they would impart some importance to AST? Again a cryptic reply which only speculates.

If AST had any sense they would go with the local company in Croatia that they have been dealing up till now, INA. That would also send a message to Geonergo showing the lack of confidence in Geonergo after the way AST has been treated in Slovenia. Geonergo is the local company in Slovenia and has not provided the local political support to AST, of if they have it has been ineffective.

Rather than have people complaining all the time I would like to know whether anyone out there has any experience of this kind of deal and how long we may expect to wait. Lots of speculation from both sides but no actual information on how long this should take and specifically what it entails.

Can much of the work be done electronically or does it entail original paperwork being posted snail mail between he various parties with multiple had copies?

I have experience of dealing with probate bureaucracy and certain legal documents are required to be sent by snail mail to all parties as original documents, signed and sent on. That can take many weeks just to get all the signatories on all the original documents.

You're always a bit cryptic in your posts TPT. Are you asserting that they are Petrol Geo employees or that they are being protected? If it's the latter you assert it with no evidence.
