I don't think people should provide financial advice, especially if they are just trying to persuade others to follow their investment strategy. Opinion is fine, where backed by evidence.

To be honest I don't understand this buy in to the max when you seem happy and then sell the whole lot when you're not. Especially with SML as the 'main client' is only the main client at Cobre. There are other clients at Cobre. There are also three other projects SML is involved in, at different stages of development and at least two of them (Leigh Creek and Redmoor) are virtually proven for future income. So I don't understand the 'buy lots' followed by 'selling the lot' attitude when not quite so happy. However the market is run by buying and selling so if you wish to sell that's entirely down to you, even if the company is strong and stable ( to quote someone else). Wish I had more money to spare as this would definitely be where it would go.

As New_2 said he started a while ago as COO. He should know what's required now. As CEO he should have better access to politicians in Slovenia than he did. That's what's needed. With better access he can see exactly the way the wind is blowing and can influence those in government who are more reasonable. Unfortunately it has been clear, if there are any, they don't have the upper hand in the government.

Wouldn't be an issue if it were just down to one corrupt individual. The problem is it's endemic in Slovene politics. If it weren't AST would have managed to get somewhere.

I have some knowledge of the geology required for oil and gas and of the practical requirements for accessing it. It seems clear that Alswaysup has good expertise in this area. However that expertise becomes irrelevant when the politics doesn't allow the gas to be accessed or produced. TPT is cryptic in her posts but I don't think even she has access to political solutions to this debacle.

A compressor would be the best way to go without the prospect of stimulation permits. However if JB and LC judge the politics in Slovenia to be too risky they may consider the acquisition of a compressor as good money after bad to invest in Slovenia. If that is the case then leaving Slovenia as it is at Petisovci, producing what they can until the gas runs dry and using what funds they have to move to Croatia may be the best way to go. We don't have the information to decide. JB and LC should have.

Thanks for the reply Bluedreamer. I had considered investing at the lower SP for the divi. But it has decreased and the SP is in danger of dropping further, unless the new CEO can turn it around.

It's based on a spread of 0.95 to 1.05. That's not the actual spread for buys or sells.

At a 5p dividend the current annual return is equivalent to about 6.5%. Not bad, but not good if the SP rises. To attract investors the dividend will have to rise as the SP rises. If the SP doesn't rise, or falls, the future is looking bleaker. If the dividend stays at 5p the income investor will start to look elsewhere.

Not a lot of point in joining a company as CEO and Chairman if you don't have confidence in the company doing well. Don't think they are journeymen. I think they will have some ambition.

We've had too many excuses as to why Directors haven't bought over the years. The cynical viewpoint could be that a fundraise is coming. However the SP can't go much lower without disappearing and any significant buying by Directors would mean an increase in the SP. So a fundraise isn't necessary for them to get in at a good price. It already is at a good price, if you have confidence in the company - which they should have.
