As always Emerald Colin makes a prediction in good faith and is often let down by external forces. In this case it is entirely down to ARSO. He has no say as to how quick they are. He can only predict on what he may expect and what they have told him. I say that otherwise some will immediately jump on Colin when he doesn't keep to his apparent timeline. By the way Colin's neck is always on the line with this company. He doesn't need any new timeline for that.

I don't think anyone can forget this is AIM. Nor can they forget this is AST. The combination of the two is more combustible than the gas clearly coming out of the ground. That clarity gets swamped by the politics unfortunately and many buyers are put off until they see the beef.

You can currently buy in at 1p on the open market. Mine won't be taken up if I can buy on the open market for the same or less. I suspect others will think the same. The only advantage is a guaranteed SP of 1p until 24th October. And therefore the SP is unlikely to rise above that before then, unless there is some phenomenal news beforehand allowing those to take up the offer when the SP has risen.

There's been plenty of delay GG. Over many months and years. We're used to it now. In this instance there is a delay on what many may have hoped for but the bureaucratic machine has to turn it's wheels.

Why worry? I would expect the SP to rise if the market sees the permits are on their way. I would be concerned if there were no rise in the SP, although the chequered history of AST would make that not a surprise.

The gas is there. Slovenia need it. It's only a gamble if you believe politics will intervene to prevent AST getting the permits so that others can subsequently profit.

Not supposed to discuss other shares on here but seeing as you ask: SML and AST both have known extractable stuff in the ground but have low SPs. 88E has researched oil from ground radar and other methods but no actual oil being produced. You did ask.

The question was put to see if anyone had any ideas on this. The only advantage is that the price of 1p is held until 24th October. That will also mean the SP will remain there till 24th October.

gb, I would suggest you research what Colin has done for the company since the Cadogan debacle. He's a solution person where problems occur. Even now he's moving things along despite the environmental campaigners and the slow Slovenian bureaucracy. If you can't be civil then keep your opinions to yourself.

Glad you are satisfied WHYAST. Maybe you have inferred something from the information they told you. If it is positive then that is good. The SP is reacting favourably this morning so you may be correct and I very much hope you are.

WHYAST thinks they have been issued. He thinks that if you call ARSO they will tell you they have issued them and are now with Geonergo. I find it hard to believe ARSO would divulge confidential information, but there you go. If Geonergo have them it's for them to divulge, rather than ARSO. If and when AST have them or are 'officially' informed by Geonergo they will be obliged to divulge that in an RNS. AST may already be aware but not obliged to RNS until they receive the official communication.
