eggonaroll, many people in the north of England have severe problems of property subsidence because of coal mining in the past. Yet there are many who bemoan the loss of the coal industry. Fracking wouldn't open up holes under peoples houses and the way it's been done in the U.S. has been learnt from and would not be done that way here now. Or in Slovenia which, by the way, is technically not fracking but hydraulic stimulation. DYOR.

What big trades? The largest I see is only just over £2k. Even if the larger 'sell' is a buy that's only just over £4k. Hardly big.

It needs to be reiterated, yet again, Colin has no input in the ARSO decision making once the applications and amendments have all been submitted.

He has also stated recently that he believes the permits should be issued this week. However government bureaucracies can often take an awful long time. Why? Because they can. Even their bosses have to respect their procedures.

WHYAST, reso's friends are probably the environmental campaigners against this happening.

Usually ARSO have issued permits on a Wednesday, doesn't have to be but usually has been. So I wouldn't expect an RNS at 07:00 Wednesday morning. Maybe later today or tomorrow morning.

If the decision has been made then market open here is 09:00 in Slovenia. They may have the news by then. The RNS should already be virtually ready. Colin's had enough time to prepare it.

You need also to bear in mind AST is one of two significant British investors in Slovenia and, I understand, AST is the largest of all. It would not be politically expedient for them to turn on the biggest investor in Slovenia.

Others keep posting the price of gas which is rising significantly and therefore this gas would benefit Slovenia considerably.

The environmental campaigners are protesting on ecological grounds when gas is known as one of the best fuels for the environment, far better than coal.

There are many other points as well. This should happen and needs to happen soon for the benefit of Slovenians.

There's so much information that indicates the imminent issuing of permits on top of what HotShot has said. The critical meeting of the British Chambers of Commerce with ARSO on 8th August had assurances given to the BC of C that the permits would be issued once the amendments were submitted. That is far more than assurances to Colin. The BC of C is a very significant British government body. All amendments were subsequently submitted and RNSed as such. ARSO assisted in the submission of those amendments to ensure they would be done correctly. The logical next step is the issuing of the permits. The only problem that would stop this would be political meddling to delay or prevent it. And the BC of C would have something to say about that, if it were to happen.

Just a lot of ticking right now.

Jame, You have to realise the peculiar history of AST. Investors don't believe now until they see the evidence. When the permits are actually issued they will believe it and the SP will then rise.

Colin has no input on the ARSO decision making. He can only tell us his expectation and what they may have told him. It's incredibly frustrating but we just have to wait for ARSO to issue the permits. If anyone should be bothered about the delay it is them as it's Slovenian gas and would benefit the Slovenian people.

We know historically (some may say hysterically) ARSO have issued permits on a Wednesday. They can issue anytime but Wednesday seems to be their preferred day. So an RNS on Thursday may be likely?
