Somehow the SP is creeping up so someone is buying. Still under 0.9p though, which is very low for a company just about to grow in size with new permits (apparently they have been issued).

Further to your suggestion that I call them do you really think they will divulge confidential information to me in a phone call? If the permit has been issued but is in the system somewhere that is confidential information for the current holder to divulge and not for ARSO to divulge.

You didn't mention that the IPPC has been issued in your post. Understandable that I missed something you didn't say.

If that's true then AST are obliged to RNS that as it is important information that must be divulged to share holders. They may have the get out from that obligation in that it hadn't been issued to AST as such, but it does effect the SP and should be divulged.

Not really WHYAST1605. They are one of the targets of the campaigners. They can only reassure that they have procedures in place to deal with the issues. There are plenty of examples where government departments have been swayed by campaigns. They can not tell anyone in a phone call how they can deal with this. Otherwise the campaigners would just call up and get the answers themselves so they can circumvent them.

Lots of useful posts about detail on here over the last few days. However the major issue seems to be the environmental campaigners and their influence on their government and ARSO. Everything else we hear would mean the permits would be issued in due course. The only problem is these campaigners and their influence.

At the very least ARSO will have to ensure everything is covered and all possible issues are looked at and that will take time, more time than if there were no campaigners and everyone were happy to access the gas.

At worst they may ensure the permits are never issued. I hope Colin is on top of this to ensure this doesn't happen.

I see there is a comment from Geonergo about this issue in the Slovenian newspaper article posted earlier where it's stated that pollution will not be an issue. We shall all have to hope that common sense prevails.

I hope Colin and the BC of C are on the ball with this campaign against Slovenia accessing their own gas. Environmental campaigners shout about damage to the environment when the poor and elderly will be suffering from the cold this Winter.

Thanks misiekm. Some of the later comments are actually in favour stating the gas is sent to Croatia and sold back to Slovenia at a higher price. That results in more expensive heating for Slovenians. Some will be suffering in the Winter if they can't afford the gas to heat their homes.

I would be interested to know the response of these 'environmentalists' to the plight of their old people in the Winter when they can't heat their homes. Gas is also a much better fuel environmentally.

If they're worried about their health they should worry about their old people dieing in the Winter because they can't afford heating.

I said SML is as risk free as AIM ever gets. With the points you mention that is the case.

Slovenia had better get a move on if Hungary will be taking gas from the same reservoir. Slovenia will be effected environmentally by such extraction just across the border so they might as well get involved for their own benefit and not just allow Hungary to deplete the reservoir.

I believe using the phrase that someone is full of 'crap' is rude, even if refering to a third party. Asking others to 'be careful' is also not helpful. We don't invest uncarefully. This company should do well, courtesy of Colin. He has achieved a lot up against Slovenian bureaucracy. Its Slovenian bureaucracy that is at fault here and not Colin. You will be better informed to realise that.

Hopefully brown trousers would be enough. Brown everything else would signify an absolute toilet disaster.

You might think that foreign investors who come in and provide funding to improve their country would be welcomed with help and assistance. But it would seem they are looked at with suspicion and are expected to jump through multiple hoops. AST are there for their benefit, not just for them to make a profit. This gas will provide a substantial income for their country from the gas and from taxation.

A new government has just got in. Let's hope they have a more enlightened view.

The way the Slovenian government has shown little inclination to help the British company which is trying to access their gas for their benefit I would also be little bothered who they sell to. It's about time they showed some appreciation. They can speed things up when they want to. For example when their President went to see the Russian President about trade deals over a year ago everything was hunky dory, especially concerning gas sales to Slovenia.
