RE: The UK budget...5 Dec 2025 12:26
I don't want to wander off the topic of lloyds, but I do hold UK housebuilders as well as banks and construction activity does feed into the UK economy and lloyds., so I do see it as relevant in this contract, whilst side stepping the immigrants rabbit hole.
Certainly in London, the building industry was dominated by the irish, but the irish were displaced by east Europeans, who would work for lower wages. The drop from an exchange rate of 1.4 sterling to euro made it very unattractive for many mainland Europeans. Irelands economy is booming, as is its housing/construction sector, as is the case with Poland. Why would these people leave their home countries, to have the to face racism and anti-semite abuse from Farage and his unemployed Reform UK supporters. The labour/skills shortage in the UK is down to lazy Brits on benefits who don't want to work, so you got what you voted for!
Democracy at work folks and you made the wrong choices to foster economic growth!
